- Class timings would be from 7 30 am to 5 30 pm
- Distance between some departments would be half a km long
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is a very good and interesting one. The faculty-student ratio will be 1 faculty for every 20 students All faculties are doctorates. Terms are twice a year and are moderately difficult but their teaching is enough to clear the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Here internship is a compulsory 12-week off-campus activity where students are sent to multiple institutions across the country and even some went abroad. Students generally apply for icar institutions outside Tamil nadu.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Even though it's a government college but the course is self-supporting, so It is a bit difficult for students from weaker economic sections. There are many state government scholarships available which would be around 50k for SC/ST to 10k for BC/MBC.
Campus Life :
College life was perfect and ideal with lots of cultures and events. There are many social clubs with secretaries and heads. The ground and gym produce lots of athletes annually. The library in tnau is one of the largest, all books are available in the library.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are fair or poor. The buildings are old and need proper maintenance. Each room can accommodate 3 people and the meal quality is good and they provide a healthy diet. Hostel registration will be on the spot during admission and the monthly fee with room and mess fee would be just 4000.
Admission :
The admission was through govt. counseling or by icar entrance exam. Application is available at tnau.ac in and we have to an Application fee of 3000. The cut-off is the sum of maths, biology, physics, and chemistry marks divided in two. The admission process takes upto 4 months or even more which can be reduced.
