About ACE&RI
One of the very first colleges that were initiated in Southern India for offering agricultural engineering education, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is one of the constituents of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. In the year 1972, the first batch of students was admitted in the college while master degree programs were initiated in the year 1977. In the year 1987, the college started offering Ph. D. in Agricultural Engineering. The mission of the college is to assist the farming community to improve the standard of living through development and dissemination of Agricultural engineering technologies by the means of education, research and training. Accreditation Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) accredited the college. Actually telling syllabus is far better but the way of assessment and academics is not upto the mark, They were concentrating more on keeping classes alone but the students mindset antmd their opinions were not respected,I dont want them to accept our opinions, All is to atleast respect our opinions
Course Curriculum Overview:
As B.Sc agriculture is one of the best course in the country, I am lucky to get an opportunity to study this course. We have RAWE, that is rural agricultural work experience where we got a chance to interact with farmers for 3 months.
Admission:
The Agricultural Engineering College is the premium agricultural research institute approved by ICAR and TNAU. The college is apt in terms of academics and teaching. Industrial exposure is also good.
Placement Experience:
Four companies namely ITC, Britannia, SKM Eggs & Suguna Chicken companies came for campus interview. 5 persons out of 19 people in our batch got placement. Minimum package was around 2 lakhs per annum in 2015.
Admission:
There are good and bad sides for everything in this world. But in our college many positives are there. This is overall a good college with many expertise.
