- Peer Group - Because of the hugeeee intake, peer group is obviously not great, there are all kind of students, but most of them are not good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Honestly, I chose CSE with a specialization in information security because I got this in their counselling process as per my ranking in 2021. Roughly, there is 1 faculty per 60 students. There are huge student strengths in college and so are the faculties. The number of faculties here itself is greater than the number of students in 1 batch of a government college. Yes, I am serious. Qualification varies greatly because there are a huge number of faculties. Mostly all have PhD, but the way of teaching differs greatly. It's not very difficult to pass sem exams in VIT. It again depends on the professor and the students in our particular batch because VIT follows a relative grading system.
Internships Opportunities :
Very few people when compared to strength get on-campus internships in VIT. Companies include Microsoft, Trexquant, Motorq, Citi, UPL, LinkedIn etc
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible in the 7th sem for placement. It's okay or good, most of the students get around 10-12 lpa, some get huge, and some get low. Afaik, avergae is 9.2lpa. For companies and offers, go to their Instagram/website. The highest was 1.02 cr last year, tho it's obviously very rare among the huge strength of so-so thousands of students. Vellore and Chennai students get placed together. So. it's more messy. As per them, there are 100% placements, and a lot of students opt for abroad studies from college. Note that 100% includes mass recruiter and as I have heard VIT makes it compulsory to sit in some mass recruiters so they can flash 100% PLACEMENT... LOL
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee varies from 2lpa to 5lpa depending on ur category, which will be decided based on your performance in the VITEEE examination. There are 5 categories with different course fees. I am not very sure about scholarships, but the top few performers in VITEEE get some. Also, board toppers have no course fees. And. there is no much Financial Assistance in college, in contrast, you have to pay a lot of extra money to use different facilities in college. Most of the students here are AMBANIS and ADANIS, or at least VIT treats students that way while demanding money at every step. Just private college things ig. :)
Campus Life :
Cultural Fest - Riviera, it's great, honestly, especially if you are in clubs and chapters. Tech Fest - Gravitas! The library is huge with a lot of books there, I don't know the exact number, but you can go to their website to see the numbers. The classroom is simple, LABS are good and air-conditioned. There are alot of sports facilities available inside campus, with 3 gyms, but remember most of them are PAID, and overcrowded in many ways. There are huge like 150+ clubs and chapters and most of them are very active when compared to other colleges.
Admission :
The admission process was smooth and it was based on VITEEE exam. Eligibility depends on the requirements, seats and the candidate's performance. There is no fixed number of seats. The application form is available on their website and also follow their super active Instagram handle for that. There is no reservation afaik.
