Dislikes

There is need for hostel for boys, Teachers in some department are lazy to teach . Most of them give the topic as seminars.
Less helping mentality from people in office works

Course Curriculum Overview :

I completed my post-graduation from this institution. The choosen colleges are based on the allotments I got a selection from this college. Faculty are Phd scholars or net scholars. Almost all the courses are available here. For the post-graduation only 20 seats were opted for the students. For graduation about 60 students can enter a class. Semester exams will be twice a year. There were university towers from both the pg and ug sections. Exams are a little difficult but the winning ratio is more.

Class Size : 11Course Fees : INR 260 per year

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible in the last semester for the campus placement. Companies from Banglore, Mangalore and Kerala. It's mostly suited to the commerce based students. 30-40 perfect students got placements. After getting post-graduation I plan to work

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There will be minimum fees that are less than Rs. 200 for the whole academic year. There is a scholarship for those who do not belong to the general category. One child scholarship is there, OBC, Sc St scholarship etc. will be available for the students.

Campus Life :

Book fest, Sahitya fest, arts, talks of higher personalities etc. are conducted consecutively. There is a big library, 50+ journals, and newspapers in Malayalam and English are available there. Computer-oriented classroom. Top in sports, NCC, kabadi etc. Different clubs are formed from each department and also some common clubs also

Hostel Facilities :

There is only one hostel opted for girls. Food is good, you can apply for the hostel facility along with the college admission process. I belong to the college hostel which 5 min near to college. 3 members in a room a table , a chair and a bed is allowed for each member in a room, 2 shelf is there.

Hostel Fee : INR 25000 per year

Admission :

Admission is based on marks. Reservation is available. Only minimum fees are needed for the whole academic year. For the post-graduation candidate should pass the graduation from a reputed university with high marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature is something I loved since schooling. I remember going to school library and reading a lot of Shakespeare's novels and other books. I always admired world of Shakespeare. My interest in books and literature made me choose English literature. When I was searching for a good college, a lot of people suggested Nehru College which had the best faculties of English. College was a bit far from home but I decided to give it a try which was worth it. I had the best experience in nehru. The curriculum evaluation makes sure that all the objectives required for a student is fulfilled. They make sure that the students are getting the best possible way of learning. Also they give us insights about the further studies. Along with academics, the faculties make sure that they prepare us for various competitive exams like UGC NET. The only area where the literature students face stress is exams. The paper is very lengthy that students find it difficult to complete the exam on time.

Just experience it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good faculty and availability of museum and library,more than academics the college and course provides extra benefits such as communication skills, personal development etc.. Teaching method is still the old school method were teachers spoon feeds the students it must be limited and self teaching methods should be encouraged more,there the sem exams will be 2:30 hrs and those are more subjective and extra papers included languages like Hindi , Malayalam,Tamil, English.(it's according to institutions)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this course was taken with great interest, the need for improvement was realized during the course. There was no continuation of what was studied in each semester. The curriculum should be improved and an updated syllabus should be included. Exams are conducted at regular intervals. There is a growing need to improve the teachers because being a government college it seems that in many cases the teachers are not doing their job and the class is progressing only through seminars and presentations. At the same time, it has been possible to get to know the scholars and gain a lot of knowledge through some of their classes
