Course Curriculum Overview :

I have a keen interest in the business and economics sector, and I think this course is the best suited for my purpose. I am a biotechnology graduate and I saw the need for proper and effective management in the biotechnology sector. After Covid 19, the biotechnology sector is growing at an exponential rate, and the need for management in this area is growing with it as well. The faculties are one of the best and the teaching method is also one of the best. The college follows a trimester format.

Internships Opportunities :

Many good companies visit the campus for the internship program. For internships, diverse roles are offered. Companies like KPMG, Deloitte, etc visit the campus. all the students get internships by the end of March.

Placement Experience :

The college has a record of 100% placement. This year the highest package was nearly 21 lpa and the minimum was near 8.5 Lpa. The college has put a cap of 8 LPA on the placement this year. Many good companies with good roles visit the campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for the two-year PGDM program is 17.75 Lakhs Including the hostel fee. There is no scholarship for the PGDM batch. There are some scholarships for the PGPM batch. The hostel facilities are also one of the best.

Campus Life :

The annual fest is known as Sapience and it is conducted in the month of September. All classrooms are air-conditioned with three projectors for better visibility. There is a gym inside the campus which is well-equipped. there is also space for indoor games and outdoor games. The college organizes a Karma yoga program which helps us to learn and apply learning in the practical world. There are many clubs in the college like finception, economia, opus etc

Hostel Facilities :

All the hostel rooms have AC. The whole hostel charge is included in the fee. There is no hidden charge. They charge 5.90 lakhs for two years. The food is kinda good. On special occasions, they provide nonveg food as well. washing machines are also provided.

Admission :

Great Lakes requires a minimum aggregate of 60% in 10th, 12th, and Graduation. Profile-based calls start to roll out around the end of December. In cycle 1 most of the calls will be on profile based. In total Great Lakes have 4 cycles for the selection purpose. Great Lakes doesn't have any kind of reservation or management quota. There is a common application form for both campuses. The application form is available on their official website. This year the application fee was 2000 INR. The admission process includes 3 steps. First one in the AWT, It's a written test. They will provide topics and one has to express their thoughts and opinion on that topic. After that, there will be an interview round. After this if you get selected you will get a selection mail at the end of the cycle. Sometimes, a student can get selected at the later cycles too.

Interview Experience :

Yes, They conduct AWT. My topic was " Development in the medical sector vs development in space/exploration" and more topics related to social media's impact on our life. After AWT, they conduct interviews. For AWT, I would suggest keeping an idea of the current happenings in the world which are important in nature. In the Interview be confident and use words and lines carefully. You should be fully aware of the things that you wrote in AWT and those you use in the interview.

Highesht package was of one student about 8 lakh per annum in LDC company. Only 30%student got placed. You have to search at your own the companies.

Remarks:

During the sixth trimester of the Programme, each participant is required to undertake a research project. the college emphasis on the trainning of the student on a practical ground too. A research problem of contemporary relevance (theoretical / action oriented) is identified by the participants in consultation with NIFM faculty and / or senior level officers of their respective Department / organization. However, the final decision on the project work is taken by NIFM. The timing and duration of the project work is 16 weeks as per the curriculum. NIFM faculty guides the participants in research, analysis, preparation and completion of the project. The participants are expected to remain in regular touch with their faculty guides for timely completion of the project work.
