There real pros and cons you should know about NIT.

Dislikes

  • Faculty is very mean and they are biased about some students.
  • Infrastructure is so poor. Building Design is not good at all. There is no maintenance college building green areas.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose civil engineering because I have an interest in buildings. The teaching staff is not well educated. They just read books to teach a subject, That's it. Exams are frequent but there is a lack of syllabus completeness. Exams are not at all difficult.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees do not hike. I get a scholarship so I do not need to deal with the fees problem but my friends had a lot of problems. The job is just to show on paper in reality there is not a single technical campus drive. And about non-technical there is only 2 to 3 companies that conducted campus drive.

Campus Life :

There is only one fest which is conducted in February known as pratibimbh. Books are fairly available but journals are not available. There are no amenities in the classroom. Only the first-year classroom is good. There is no sports period or coach in the college. Extra curricular activities are only 4%. There is no group or clubs run by the students or college.

Admission :

You can admit yourself via mht-cet and JEE. There will be cap rounds for the admission process through the cap you can choose the option of the college of your choice then you can admit to the college once you were selected. And also there is spot admission which is more frequent than usual. You can also reserve your seat in college to get selected in the cap round.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.

Remarks:

The college Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha is very reputed college as it is Shiksha Mandal's college. I saw many advertisement about this college throughout the year and that's why choose to take admission in it.

Placement Experience:

Till now no company has visited. 2 students are selected and that is with their own efforts. Not having any job referral because hardly few students are placed. In startup one group won the hackathon and I guess they are doing their startup thing

Remarks:

Positive are all mentioned throughout the form Also to mention they really keep the college clean and many trees around the institute which gives nice vibes. Negative can be attendance issue which is actually not enforced by institute but by Mumbai University to which we are affiliated
