Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose L.L.B. (Hons.) for my dire interest primarily in humanities then in law. I aspire myself to be a litigating lawyer one day and this was the motivating factor behind securing admission here. As an undergraduate student from the same university, I was well aware of the functioning of Jindal Global Law School. The sense or familiarity, the excellence of faculty motivated me to apply for admission. The teaching method is quite application based which ables a student to grasp the correct knowledge of the subject. I really adore the faculty in the institution because of their diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I have interned under various laywers across various courts of Delhi including the Sessions, High Court and Supreme Court as well. Further more, I have done research internship with the international organisation of the Law Reporters Based in Dubai. My recent internship was with National Human Rights Commission. I have been alloter tasks like research, legal drafting, attend court proceedings, book reviewing etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

In L.L.B. (Hons.), the student becomes eligible for placement after the completion of their second year for PPOs. Also, after giving their sixth semester exams, the students are eligible to sit in placement drives. For law, top tier law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan and Khaitan, Luthra and Luthra, litigation lawyers etc. visit the campus for placement drives. Over 90% of the students are provided placements with the aid of the university. My plans also include placement through college in law firm after completing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee in JGLS is quite expensive. Academic fees is approximately 600000 per year and residential fees amounts to 230000 approximately. The fee hike is subject to 10% hike with regards to residential fee. The university is residential campus so it is mandatory for everyone to reside in hostels hence hostel fee is a must.

Campus Life

4.5

The university being a residential campus holds a lot of fests like Biswamil which is India's largest student festival, MAGNUS sports festival, Youthopia etc. Other fest activities like sports meet, dance night, farewells are also conducted for the student enjoyment. All types of indoor and outdoor apoets activities like Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Pool, Chess etc. are conducted. Even the university holds J-Leage which is a student run sports tournaments for these various types of sports. The campus is also vibrant enough to have societies like History Society, Safdar Hashmi Reading Circle, ADR Society, Trial Advicacy Society etc, JSIA Bulletin etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Presently, JGLS has 15 hostel blocks and over 10,000 students reside in these hostels. There are various types of hostels like two sharing, three sharing, four sharing. The room is well equipped with students needs like AC, study tables, adequate spacing, hygienic washroom, 24/7 electricity, water etc. The hostel staff is also trained to acquire and manage students needs of such a large number. The meals are offered 4 times a day, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

Admission

Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University takes admission through LSAT India and JSAT for admission for L.L.B. (Hons.). The application form is available to apply to the university is available on its official website. Anyone who is eligible can apply for the programme. The admission procedure is really efficient and systematic. There is also availability of mentors to guide you through your application as well as application process.

Things can even ask them if you don't feel you got it then, and also they answer you, and they have a good relation with students like not a strict teacher kinda they're open about things and talk to students help them not such academic in their personal life. Also, so that's something good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is extremely poor, The pedagogy is weak and the lectures are the least interesting. Some professors are gems in this coal mine but the wider picture is abysmal. The teachers force you to write and the use of gadgets even for notes is discouraged. There is no academic calendar and exams can happen anytime with prior notification of a month, The results are also delayed; Expect anywhere between 4-6 months of the declaration of results.
