Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this particular course mainly because of my inclination toward exploring foreign markets. We have a good one year in the Dubai campus wherein we will get the opportunities to showcase our skills in various short-term projects and summer internships and that is what I like about this particular program. The student-to-faculty ratio is around 1:10 and the faculties and very welcoming and supportive throughout the journey.
Internships Opportunities :
The company visiting for the summer internships are from varied fields ranging from BFSI, IT, FMCG, etc. wherein all the top companies are giving good roles which will help us embark on our corporate experience on a positive note.
Placement Experience :
The placements here are very good considering a high batch size of around 650 students. The average for this year has been 17.35 LPA and the median has been 16 LPA which is quite good. The highest salary offered for this year was 65.6 LPA. The average for the top 10 and 20%iles for the batch has been 29.61 LPA and 25.3 LPA respectively with medians being 28.75 LPA and 22.23 respectively. 150+ companies participated in the placements process this season.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for the DCP program of IMT G is slightly on the higher side when compared to its other program but if we spend our time wisely and grasp the opportunities provided, it is really worth it. Also, the international exposure we get is second to none and it is also an opportunity to try out new things and gain experiences in different fields so that one can be more sure of what he/she really wants going forward.
Campus Life :
The campus life is great and there is a saying in IMT that IMT never sleeps as the clubs and committees here are very active and there are some other activities that are always happening around the clock. The classrooms and hostel rooms are equipped with air conditioners, study tables, etc. There is a common washroom on every floor of the hostel rooms. There also is a sports committee that organizes the largest sports fest in the B school fraternity. CHAKRAVIYUH wherein participants from top B schools of the country participate. Apart from that, we have a mess committee, admissions committee, cultural committee, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are quite good. Our rooms are equipped with air conditioners, study tables, cupboards, and a bed. There are common washrooms on every floor of the hostel blocks. The meal is served four times in a common mess and the schedule of the mess and food is given to us beforehand over the mail. The quality of the food is one of the best and surely worth it.
Admission :
The admission process was very smooth and one of the best I had experienced this season. The cutoff was 90%ile in both CAT and XAT. Also, there was a criterion for exceptional work ex-students wherein they received calls at 85%ile onwards. The interview process began with a comprehensive introduction to the college, where we received detailed information about the academic programs, facilities, and campus life. This initial introduction helped us gain a better understanding of what the college had to offer and allowed us to make an informed decision. Following the introduction we were given serial numbers and panel numbers for our interview. This systematic process ensured that each candidate had the designated time slots for their interview, thus minimizing any confusion or chaos. Overall, the process was one of the best experiences to date, setting a positive tone right from the start till the end.
Interview Experience :
There were no group discussions as such during the process but we had a Critical ability test wherein we were given a topic and we had to write on that topic within a time frame and word limit. Shortly after the critical ability test, we were assigned our serial and panel numbers according to which we had to join our respective interviews. Also, the coordinator gives a call 5 minutes before our interview starting time which I guess is the best thing considering the fact the process is online. Apart from the entrance exam, interview, and critical ability tests, the candidates are also evaluated based on past academic records, work, and extracurriculars which again gives a holistic parameter for screening the candidates.
