All in all, the college is a wonderful place to join. It helps in shaping our personality and also lot of opportunities to learn and grow.
Entrance Preview :
I wrote the MAT exam for admission to IPE Hyderabad and scored 80 percentile. My main motivation to opt for this college was the faculty profile. With very experienced and learned faculty, the learning environment is one of encouragement. The other is the ideal student teacher ratio. With not more than 60 students per class, the students get the right exposure to being in a classroom as well as having one on one time with the faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is regularly updated, with a recent inclusion of Analytics for each specialization. There is a lot of discussions based on case studies and all the faculty use presentations as a medium to teach. Regular seminars and guest lectures also form a part of the curriculum, with regular interactions with industry personnel.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, they provide internship. There were a lot of opportunities available for internships, with the average stipend being in the range of 6k-10k. The experience was indeed amazing. It helps in understanding the application of the concepts learned in the class. Also, the faculty guide is great, by helping not only with the interview process but also in deciding the topic of the report, preparing the final document as well.
Placement Experience :
The job opportunities are getting better over the years. I was among the first to be placed as an HR Analyst with Deloitte with a package of 6 lakhs. Some of the other companies visiting campus include TCS, ICICI, HDFC, TRINITI, TIME, GODREJ, ITC,etc. The average pay is around 5 lakhs.
College Events :
Unity in diversity is the essence of the culture here. From Christmas to Sankranti, all the festivals were very well celebrated. The students organize and celebrate all the important festivals. Apart from this is the flagship event of our college, Sanskriti, which is a perfect example of management fest- it is completely student driven from the planning to the execution.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The entire 2 year full time program costs 8 lakhs. It is very feasible given the infrastructure and faculty that we are provided with. Also, the return on investment will be worth it for the facilties that are offered. The college also provides a scholarship for the merit students and easy loan options can be availed.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The college offers scholarship based on the exam and scores which vary from year to year. The loan facility can be easily availed. These are avilable at the time of admission itself., at the venue of the GD and interview, at least in the Hyderabad campus interview.
Campus Life :
The sports facilities are getting better with time. The recent basketball and football courts have been built with best features and facilities. Also we have a annual sports day events and other regular events as well. We also have volleyball, throwball and badminton courts as well as an indoor gym and table tennis facilities.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel have single and double occupancy. The bathrooms are almost like hotel bathrooms with all facilities. Rooms are clean and spacious and there are regular house keeping facilities as well as laundry facilities. The mess food is good and the canteen has all other options as well.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni is one of the biggest strengths of IPE. they regularly meet for the annual alumni meet and help in getting contacts for placements and networking. They are always helpful and easy to reach. The seniors and juniors have freshers and regular interactions to help each other adjust.
Exam Structure :
Since it is a trimester system, you will always be busy and learning. Though we have exams every 3 months, there is ample personal time and time to involve in extra curricular activities. In fact, this is encouraged by the faculty even more.The exams consist of internals and externals. The internals are a continuous evaluation process with presentations, quizzes, case studies, group discussions etc. These help in learning and working as a team.
Admission :
I attended the interview in Hyderabad during Feb first week. It had a group discussion and interview round. Our topic for the GD was on development of India and the interview was quite general with questions such as why MBA, what i aim to accomplish, some other basic questions. The administration was very supportive and helpful throughout the process.
Faculty :
The faculty were my main motivation to choose this college. They are all extremely driven and many students even co author papers with the faculty. They are always reachable and ready to advise and help. They also guide the students for finding internships and also in preparing the project reports.
