A solid mid teir College

Dislikes

  • The management is very stingy with their funds to allocate towards tech fests and other college functions
  • They are very strict with the dressing code

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is good and clearing the exam is easy if you are prepared well, for getting good grades you would need to put in extra effort. There is enough faculty for all the subjects you are taking and they are all very helpful in clearing doubts or for any other extra activities

Placement Experience :

Toward the end of the sixth semester, placement starts for us. Most of the companies that visit us are tech companies like IBM, UST Global, Infosys, etc. The highest package was 21 lack per annum for a student and 8 lac was the average a student got placed. 50 out of 60 students got placement in one CS batch.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There would be extra fees for the Wi-Fi and gym facilities but other than that there isn't that much increase in the fees. The sem fees were about 38500rs. I didn't have any scholarship but I got admission through a merit seat.

Campus Life :

The annual tech fest is great. There are plenty of books and journals in the library and they also provide printing services. The classrooms are all equipped with projectors, There are many clubs like Geeks for Geeks, CSI, foss, nss, and Ieee they are all very active and would host many events, workshops, and webinars. Sports activities are okay we have good ground for all these activities.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is quite good the food is okay and the rooms are okay. Any complaint we have with the facilities would get resolved quickly. The hostel Wi-Fi is great. The only thing bad about it is the curfew we need to enter the hostel before 7 pm and after that gates are shut.

Admission :

I took the KEAM entrance exam and cleared the cutoff for admission. Under 25k rank for general and 35k rank for OBC would most likely be guaranteed admission since they have increased the total seats for CSE this year.

Placement Experience:

The placements are more than decent as you get many opportunities to land a job before graduation. Provided you don't have backpapers which most companies wouldn't want in their candidates. Service-based companies such as TCS and Accenture take loads of students per year and pretty high-end companies visit too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum mainly focuses on the technical side of the subject being an engineering course. Mathematical models play a significant role in developing and extrapolating the syllabus to application level. Life sciences are also there as core subjects and electives in higher semesters. It heavily encompasses the general relevant technical aspects of modern biotechnology too.

CET is one of the top colleges with record campus placement in multinational companies. Fifth and sixth-semester students are eligible for campus placements. International companies like Royal Enfield, Google, Tata, Mitsubishi, Honda, etc are conducting campus placements in CET with above 3 lakh Indian currencies per annum which may reach up to 40 lakhs. Almost 90% of students are getting placed in various companies including me.
