Remarks

I had both good and bad time in college. But it was my unforgettable moments in my life. Which i got from this wonderful institution.life in college was pretty fun and good. I believe that studying at Jawaharlal College opens the door of wisdom and provides prospects to develop the students’ talent, reshape their hidden potentialities. I feel privileged to have been endowed by blessings of this college. All I should say it was my luck and my right decision to be a part of this institution. It not only provides quality education but also gives an opportunity for those who want to study well and pursue their aim and achieve more.

Entrance Preview

It is mainly based on Engineering entrance. Those who wishes to know the dynamics of flight, then it is your right opportunity to join Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology. Of course I opted for Engineering entrance. Typical cutoffs are almost low, about 10.Yes,i have attended interview. I chosed the course because studying it,gives me a number of transferable skill.

This course provides a better opportunities for my career. Practical learning was an affordable one. In first semester there are some workshops.

Internships Opportunities

We can do internships at government undertakings near the college, like SIFL and the KINFRA defence park which are near the college with decent stipends. Key IT companies like Sutherland, Infosys, Wipro, and Tata consultancies, manufacturing companies like Larsen and Toubro, Apollo tyres and other companies like Accenture and Indian Navy visit Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology for providing placements. Salary figures start from Rs. 1 lakh to even Rs. 10 lakh per annum. Almost 60 to 75% of students get placed every year.

The companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc come to Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad for placements. A good number of students gets placed every year from various batches.

College Events

Main festivals includes Onamcelebrations,Christmas celebrations, and other cultural festivals. Among cultural festivals, Bloom fest is the bigger one and is actually a huge one literally. It includes 3 days of off-stage programmes and 2 days of on-stage programmes with so many reputed celebrities.College day is there for expressing everyone's talents. Tech fest, SITE is another fun fest of technical arts. This is a huge technical fest hosting several schools and colleges along with the college'spresentations each engineering department. Good prizes are offered for best events, models and paper presentations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee per annum at JCET, Palakkad is Rs. 75,000. But after adding all miscellaneous fees it will come up to about Rs. 83,000 in total.All scholarship options are available for candidates opting for it.I'm not sure about the number, but about 50% usually get scholarships.If necessary, we can avail educational loans from any banks.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships available for students who have achieved excellence in academics. Also, there are scholarships provided by Kerala government. Most of the students receive these kinds of scholarships.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and associations conducted by the student societies to promote extracurricular activities. Economic development club, NCC, NSS etc are actively working clubs in Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad.There is an inter-college festival named Bloom and tech fest named Nsite successfully conducted every year. Also, importance is given to sports events such as Kabaddi, Cricket, Football etc.

Hostel Facilities

I resided in hostel.There are 2 hostels one for boys and one for girls.PGs are available around Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad and the cost vary with the facilities available. It cost around Rs 5,000 per month.4 people shares a room.Also, bath attached rooms are there and can be availed for those students who need those type of rooms.The food will cost you around Rs.4000 per month and may vary according to the days that you take their food every month.

alumni provides assistance to the area while also have the opportunity to build relationships with community members and leaders.

Exam Structure

Yes,Exam and labs makes us tired because of continuous exams.But even though they are fun, sometimes the classmates in your life are overly annoying, especially when it comes to exam season.

The campus provides a good quality of teaching. Best qualified teachers.they were very helpful for us. The entire experience at the college is not too bad.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA.
