Remarks

DAV Collage Amritsar is very good place to study but one need to be active with the system because no authority or responsibilities.

Entrance Preview

I choose B.J.M.C and I made my decision when I have seen the prospect of DAV collage. Later I get excited to hear that it is related to media field. DAV collage was the only collage of that time available in Amritsar with Mass Communication Degree.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Mass Communication is the course which is deeply related to the media study and other fields related to media. Research is the basic part which has to be fulfilled by the students along with other things. I suggest every person who is interested in research should once attend the journalism.

Internships Opportunities

Our college support students to go for internship in cities like Delhi and Mumbai but many students couldn't attend because of not having enough money.

Placement Experience

2

The struggle of becoming a reporter is very tough these days because of changing demands in media and heavy competition. One need to be ready for challenges. Most of local companies offer the salary on commission basis as per news are given to them as low as 3-6 thousand per month. After 2 year experience they confirmed the reporter rank of any person and increment was implemented to the salary.

College Events

4

Media Fast and Sport Function is celebrated annually but many events are arranged by teachers and participated by students. Numberless small and large events has been arranged by college teachers and officials. They are the roots of a growing plant by which one need to learn fly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is little expensive than other collages but the crowd of students is same. Fee structure is very poor as at the time of exam a very big line. Fees is the major issue for the middle class families and many of them couldn't receive the study because of lack of money.

Fees and Financial Aid

University position achievers are rewarded with the scholarship according to which the half fees would be granted by the collage.

Campus Life

1

Campus life of DAV collage is always crowded with students. Boys are more in numbers than girls. Debates programs are arranged by our department. No teacher discriminate no student on the basis of any religion, race, cast, gender etc. The media itself teaches the student about same law and rules for everyone and applicable to everyone which all the students are going to miss in future life.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel and mess food facilities are very good. Food is not very expensive but tastes very yummy. All the servings they provide carries series of dishes and a very genuine price for then that students can afford but the hostel facilities are not real quick. One need to have some patience before order in any thing.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors of DAV collage are very helpful and supportive. They guide the new students also in many projects related to media research.

Exam Structure

Exams are taken by authorities of college and a fair result is declared to the students by DAV collage. Exams are common and two time exam comes within a semester. Exams are the mirror of a student and these exams make us learn to get the marks for better rank and even better try.

Faculty

3

Faculty of DAV collage was not bad as the authority members arrange some events time to time to give the students a chance to participate. Although the studio has not such good accessories which students can use for the better faculty member are very kind and helpful.

Placement Experience:

LPU has a good campus placement policy in which the students become engrossed from the seventh semester. Many of the biggest IT organizations such as Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini and thousands of other offers are made during the visits. The maximum salary offered has been 3 crore [ctc] per annum and is averaging around 6-7 lakh per annum. It is notable that 90% of students get placements depending on the program that they take or choose to study.

How things actually works. Got to meet my idols of the industry. I feel this thing that choosing this course was my best decision of my life . Because this gave wings to my all the dreams . I think that the subjects are very much good and easy for everyone to study who want to pursue journalism. Teachers should gave some practical knowledge to the students. The timing of the exam is accurate and ok and the difficulty level is also not much like it is which any student can do who have some basic knowledge and information of journalism
