Remarks :

This is a great college with amazing course structure and curriculum. It recently built a new building which has all great amenities. The course structure also includes a foreign trip to a university for a week which includes some great learning and fun.

Entrance Preview :

I took CAT and I scored 84%ile, I chose this college because of its placements, good ratings from different sources and its curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college offers a variety of subjects including marketing, finance, operations, IT and international business. I liked the coverage of these courses and since I was doing a dual program me (Marketing and Finance), in the second year I opted for subjects like Rural Marketing, Brand Management, market research, International business strategy, Banking and Financial Services, Investment Banking, International Trade Procedure & Documentation etc.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, we have had companies from different fields such as PMG, Deloitte, Genpact, SBI life, Asian Paints, E&Y, Hero, Practo, MakeMyTrip etc. The general stipend varied from 6,000-40,000 per month, making it an average of 10,000 per month.

Placement Experience :

We had 100% placement. We had companies like Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, PwC offering 8-9L/annum, Infosys offering 6-8 Lakh/annum, Capgemini (7 lakh), Hero (9Lakh), Tata Motors (8 Lakh), Cognizant (8-15 Lakh), Practo (6 Lakh), Wipro (6 Lakh), Maruti (8 Lakh), Dell (8 Lakh), HP (8 Lakh), ACNielsen (6Lakh), GFK (6 Lakh), Milward Brown (6 Lakh) etc.

College Events :

We have an annual fest called Genesis, in which colleges from different parts of India participate. Plus we have an event called Anubhuti, the Corporate Interaction Division of FORE School of Management organizes ‘Anubhuti’ sessions through the academic curriculum. Freshers’ Night - When seniors both formally and informally welcome the juniors to FORE.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Although it is expensive for a middle-class family. It was 12 Lakh for two-year (2013/2015) MBA program me. If we look at other colleges, we have a better fee structure because of the return on investments. The college has 100% placement record and the kind of learning we get, is immense.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, the college has a scholarship program me (If the students maintain the CGPA of 8.0 and above in each trimester and his family income is less than 2 lakh then he/she is eligible for different slabs of scholarships. It could be either 100% or 50% or 25% of EDUCATION FEE depending upon the family income of the student.

Campus Life :

We had a gender ratio of almost 70:30 (boys: girls) and there were students from different parts of India (Maharastra, Haryana, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, UP, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, MP, J&K etc.) with different ethnicity and religion. The college organizes some great extracurricular activities such as Indian traditional dance shows, annual and half-yearly sports events (cricket, football, badminton, chess, carom etc.)

Hostel Facilities :

The College does not have its own hostel, however, they have a tie-up with a private hostel which is nearby. The rooms are neat and clean with double occupancy. The average monthly rent is 12,000 (twin sharing). The food from the mess is average. The locality of the hostel is not really great. It is in Katwaria Sarai (less than a kilometer from the college)

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, we have a proper committee called FORE alumni network, which keeps a record of every alumnus and these alumnus updates the college about the vacancies in their companies and these are further shared with the current or other alumni of the colleges. These alumni frequently visit the college for interaction with students and different talks.

Exam Structure :

We have 6 trimesters during the course of entire structure and every trimester has two sets of exams, plus different projects and dissertation which left us with very little time. All in all, it was a very busy schedule of 2 years. Most of the times students will be stuck with different mini-projects, projects etc.

Admission :

I got the college form its website before the CAT results were announced, the form was worth INR 1,200. After applying to the college, I got an email from the college that I have cleared the cut-off and there will be a GD-PI round. On the scheduled day, I reached to the college, the staffs first introduced us to the college and informed us about the entire process. They formed different groups of 8 students for GD. We were given a GD topic and allowed us to speak for 20 minutes. After the GD got over, they individually asked us to sum it up. The GD was followed by a round of interview where they asked me questions related to my background and some GK and DI related questions.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is quite experienced and well qualified. Some of them have a market experience of above 30 years. The bunch of faculties included Ex-CEOs, Head of Marketing Department from MNCs and some directors of some of the prestigious colleges of India.

Placement Experience:

You're eligible for the campus placement from semester 3. I got a placement in a few companies like policy bazaar and Barclays but the salary is quite low offered by the companies. I opted for none of these companies and interviewed for many companies after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to do MBA as I did Bachelor's in business management from the same college and the next best alternative for me was to do a master's in the same field as it will give me enough good opportunities and specialization in the marketing field which I always wanted to pursue too. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. scholars and have great experience and knowledge. Though the teaching style of every teacher differs from one another. There is a total of 3 CES, 2 internals, and 1 external for each subject and we have 5 subjects in total.

Placement Experience:

Placement system is not like getting placement in a week time i.e. there is no concept of placement week here. But companies keep on coming throughout the year. Students generally get placed by the month of February. A number of companies like HUL, Bajaj, Wipro, TATA, ICICI, HDFC, etc visit the campus to recruit students. The package can go as high as 24 lacs for few companies, while the average is 10 lac generally.

Delhi school of economics(DSE) is one of the best B schools in Delhi. We compete with B schools such as imt Ghaziabad and few baby IIMS. The faculties are amazing and the college is located close to my home. Placements are consistent, averaging at around 11 lakhs.

The placement and jobs opportunity are average. In our college the companies are coming like giving average packages 4 to 5 lakhs. This is an average college. And the SIPs like only sales profile are coming. You have to sale like insurance, debit card credit card stock. You have to call some other people like cold calling etc. The stipend is performance based. 1000 or Max to Max 6000.
