Remarks :
Graphic era university is a very well designed and maintained university with a flourishing green campus, the faculty and students together adds a sense of teaching aura to the campus.
Entrance Preview :
I did sat for the entrance exam JEE mains but didn't get a good rank, but my 12th percentage was i.e 78% good enough to get admission in this college. I opt for this college because I wanted to study in a peaceful place and dehradun was perfect for that and in dehradun this is one of the best college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical engineering in graphic era university is a delight because faculty here are very helpful and generous towards students all the time. We get a lot of practical knowledge because of highly equipped labs and ongoing car competetion participations.
Internships Opportunities :
In our college there is not a proper process of getting an internship but students that are willing to do research on any of their tropics of interest can do it by taking special permissions from high authorities or the research cell.
Placement Experience :
In btech level for placements many companies come to our university like wipro, infosys, TCS, Oracle and many more offering and average package of around 3.5 lakh to 4.5 lakh per annum. A good amount of students gets placed without facing any problems as our course curriculum includes pdp training from the 1st year itself.
College Events :
We have two college fests every year that we call Grafest in one of which celebrity singers and DJs are called to entertain us. We always used to have technical events like nation conferences like MUN conferences and other research conferences. Our college also has many world records associated with its name.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I would call my course fees i.e rs 88000per sem feasible because the kind of environment and teachers our university provides us is worth every single penny. There is also a provision of submitting the fees in installments for the students those are facing any financial problems.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a system in our college that is if a student scores more that 75% in a semester he or she would get an amount of scholarship. I got a 5k scholarship in my first semester as I had 78% in class 12th.
Campus Life :
Campus life here in our university feels like a big family with small families living within it. Everyone person working in the university feels like a friend. We have many societies like NSS, research societies for eco friendly inventions. Very less politics can be seen in the university and the gender ratio is next to perfect. We also have an anti ragging cell which takes care of any of the ragging cases in the university.
Hostel Facilities :
We have 5 hostels in which the rooms are very beautifully built according to a student requirements. However hostel food 3requires a need to change taste. If we talk about the food hygiene standards it is very good in overall. We daily get boiled milk in the morning or tea according to the preferences and need.
Alumni/Alumna :
In college we have a very active alumni network. Our alumni used to have alumni meets regularly in various parts of the country and when it comes to our senior students they are always helpful and everyone one is very kind.
Exam Structure :
We used to have mid semester and end semester exams in a semester and in between we are given assignments which are used to evaluate our sessional marks. Our labs are arranged in a way that we have them in alternative days so that students don't get stressed and burdened.
Admission :
I saw the admission and counselling notification in a newspaper and called them up to get a list of the document I have to carry during the counselling process. I did my counselling in the college itself. After some hours of waiting I got notified that I am eligible for the B.tech mechanical course and I was asked to submit the fees. That is how I took admission.
Faculty :
Most of the faculty in our course are highly educated from IITs or from foreign universities having their PHDs and immense teaching experience. Most of the teachers are calm and composed in their way of teaching. They always make us comfortable learning new topics and theories so that we could easily understand it in a very effective way!!
