Course Curriculum Overview :
I took a diploma in civil engineering branch because it's my dream to become a successful civil engineer in future. Al-Kabir Polytechnic is ranked the no.1 private college in Jharkhand in terms of quality education. The teachers are very good and highly qualified. The method of teaching is very nice because theory and practical both are teaching with the same effort. There are two internal exams are conducted each semester, and it is to obtain good marks in internal exams if you attended classes regularly.
Internships Opportunities :
Placements in this college are good. There are many companies are come to take assessments and our placement cell is very helpful and worried for us. For civil engineering department companies like L&T, ACC, TATA, ULTRATECH ETC.
Placement Experience :
Campus placements are good in this college and a lot of companies come to offer jobs to the students. A minimum of 75% is good to be eligible for placements. But not mandatory for all companies. I planned to go for higher studies after getting the diploma degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of this college is approx 21000 per semester and the Hostel fee is 8400 per year. The scholarship is also available for students which belong to lower caste or lower income groups. The scholarship is provided by the government of Jharkhand which gives approx 20000 a year.
Campus Life :
This college is not conducting any type of fest. A good library is available on the college campus having a lot of books available. The classrooms are good and spacious. Cricket and football tournaments are connected by the college each year. The tournaments are held on college campus grounds. Each department has its own social media groups which is run by students as well as teachers also.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are not very spacious and not in good condition. The bathrooms are also in very bad condition. The mess provides quality foods at low prices. The hostel rooms are limited, not every student can go to a hostel. The locality is not good, because the college campus is surrounded by crowded places.
Admission :
Admission is taken through an entrance exam which is named as Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination board. You must qualify for cutoff marks in this exam to be eligible for admission to this college. Few seats are also reserved for management quota for direct admission on the basis of their matriculation or intermediate mark sheet. After the examination, you must have to attend counselling in Ranchi to allot a seat for a college. There are many rounds of counselling are there. I availed my reservation benefits from the Obc quota. The admission process is very simple and easy for everyone I don't want to see any improvement in this.
