Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is provided by the Indian maritime university and it includes all the topics to marine engineering so that we can get the best knowledge and improve our skills. The course has a mechanical base but covers all types of engineering including electronics, computer science, and electrical. The faculty members are excellent and they Trevor to help the cadet in the best way they can and are always there to solve your doubts and encourage you in all aspects.

Placement Experience :

The placement opportunities are very good in the college with a number of companies like Mole, molta, fleet, east away, PIL, etc., coming in and taking cadets. There is a current placement rate of 90% in the college for b. Tech is expected to rise in the future.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is affordable and it includes all the aspects including your hostel fees books uniform , shoes, laundry, and food. There always a option to avail an education loan if you are in need of one the college will definately help you in that. For the students having a overall percentage of 95% in class 12th the college gives a scholarship of 50,000 and 25,000 for the second highest.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is really a different experience overall with the campus being surrounded by lush greenery and located in the outskirts of Chennai free from any pollution and in a calm environment is a soothing experience. There will be strict rules that need to be followed at all times and no leverage will be given in that. Being an aspiring seafarer you need to be tough.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are comfortable and good with four cadets allocated in one room each has a bed of its own and are provided with almirahs and study table of your own. There are rules that need to be followed in the hostel block by the cadets at all times.

Admission :

We have to clear the IMU-CET entrance exam and have the name on the merit list and then we can opt for him. A JMU cet rank is a must for admission. After your JMU rank, there will be a P.I. round followed by medicals and if you clear all these stages you are through into the institute.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
