Course Curriculum Overview :
My interest had always been inclined more towards understanding in depth about 'what is history'. In my bachelor's training, I was quite interested in history lectures and hence took up the research thesis to explore further. This all gave me clarity on what I really would like to pursue further. The class strength is 12. We have our tutor as well as teaching associate with whom group discussions, as well as individual discussions, happen on at regular basis. 1:12 All the faculties allocated have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with master's qualification. End-semester reviews at cept are quite unique as there are no written exams. It is mostly graded on the level of our understanding, how in-depth we have got into research and our final outcome.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee per semester is Rs. 1.89,000/- The fee per year is Rs. 3,78,000/- Scholarships are available as follows: Means Based Scholarship Merit-Based Scholarship You can find in detail about the scholarship at our official website - cept.ac.in
Campus Life :
Life at Cept is an excellent opportunity for students to explore areas of interest other than their mainstream work. The cept offers electives and summer-winter courses where one gets to gain more knowledge and expertise in other fields. Cept library is one of the greatest collections as it houses all genres of books from all fields right from architecture, and planning, to technology. It is a huge resource. Cept fests and events are something that goes along with the ongoing semesters. It is a great way to get a break from the hectic schedule and socialise. Roots and Mazi are some of the events recently organised by the student council. Classrooms are well equipped with the basic requirements of lights and electricity, an area for projection, and air conditioners(not all in the classrooms). Cept classrooms are well-designed, and ventilated.
Admission :
The admission process for the following course - Masters in Architectural History and Research was quite interesting in my opinion. For eligibility for the course to get an M.Arch degree, one should have a minimum bachelor's degree in Architecture with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks; while for the M.A degree, an undergraduate degree in civil, construction, planning, landscape and archaeology with 55% aggregate marks. One can go to the cept official website: cept.ac.in for the admission procedure as well as our Instagram handle: cept_ahr For the application process, one can look over the application requirements on the website itself where they mention in detail what in specific one has to submit.
