THE GOODS AND BADS OF PDEU

Dislikes

  • The attendance rule is 80% and the university is very strict regarding to the attendance rule.
  • The timing of college is very unfit for the students who want to explore the other fields and develop their co-curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am very interested in studying computer engineering that's why I chose this course. The faculties are very humble, well qualified and very experienced, there are multiple faculties for a single subject and it makes it relevant for the students as they don't have to struggle for the availability of a single faculty. The quality of teaching is very good but some faculty just exhaust us by showing the PowerPoint presentations

Internships Opportunities :

The companies which provide the placement are the only ones that give internship offers to the students. The aim of the companies behind giving internships is to check their skills and make them ready for the industry.

Placement Experience :

The placement ratio is very good in the college, the MNCs like GOOGLE and AMAZON visit the campus for recruitment. The highest package provided in the computer engineering branch was 25 LPA and the average package provided was around 7 LPA. Almost everybody gets the placement who opts for it. My plan is to get the placement after getting the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

One is required to pay fees semester-wise. The education here is good but the fees are pretty high so not everybody can afford it. The college also provides scholarships on the basis of merit rank and overall CGPA over the first year, the campus also provides placement which is very good

Campus Life :

The tech fest of PDEU is TESSERACT and the cultural fest is FLARE. The cultural fest generally happens in the month of April whereas the tech fest happens in the month of February. There are in total 3 main committees in the university which are 1) Social and Cultural, 2) science and technology and 3) sports. There are different clubs and they lie in the respective committees. All the clubs are run by the students only. The library is also very big and almost all the worthy books are available there. The classrooms are also well equipped with all the necessary things for relevant studies.

Hostel Facilities :

The facilities provided in the room are AC in every room, a study table with a desk light, a cupboard and a common playing area also. The rooms are double/triple sharing. The hostel is located just behind the main campus of the college. The meal provided in the mess is of very good and quality of it is taken care of.

Admission :

The eligibility of the course is that one should have passed the board exam and should have appeared for either DASA (for NRI students only), JEE or GUJCET. The students who are willing to get admission through the score of Board+GUJCET(ACPC) should list the college in ACPC choice filling and the students who are willing to take admission through JEE or NRI quota should fill up the admission form available on the official website of the university. For the year 2022, the fee for the application for admission was Rs 1000 only. The overall admission process of the college is very good.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I didn't opted for this college as it was very costly and also very far from my home. Hence, it wasn't providing me a valuable package for the money I invest.

As of last year, most of the students who applied for campus placement got placed but with an average ctc of rs 5 lakh/annum. The companies visited include Adani Port, Adani gas, Torrent Power, and other companies. The highest package was rs 15 lakh. Generally, most students from here prepare for entrances like a gate, toefl, cat, etc for admission in masters.

Not know much about placement but from what I have heard it is average. You have to decide beforehand whether you want to go for placement or a master's after that college provides a special course that is delivered by CD Cell CD stands for career development.
