Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course because I am interested in physics subject and I like solving physics problems. The civil branch has this. For the whole branch, there will be one main course coordinator and 1-3 supporting teaching assistants for any course. The faculty teaching us here are the ones who have done their mtech, pg, Ph.D. with a decent percentage. They teach very well. The classroom atmosphere is very interactive too. Basically for a semester, there will be one mid-semester exam held within one and half months followed by mid sem break of one week. Then within one and a half months, there will be an end-semester exam. Difficulty to pass depends on the course and the strictness of the course coordinator. Most of them were easy to pass. Very rarely in one or two subjects, there will be difficulty mainly in civil, that too can be passed with enough hard work and even there are chances of getting good grades if we work consistently.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies offering internship opportunities are increasing year by year with the stipend ranging from 50 k-1.7 lakh. Some are providing around 20k-50k. The main fields for getting an internship would be DSA, web development projects, and ml, and a few are from management fields.
Placement Experience :
Placements will be started from around August -September and last till March-April for students in the 7th semester. I e, for 4th-year students. For placements, many companies have come to take the students. Almost all the students got placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is released for every semester. Basically for each semester, the course fee costs 1lakh, the hostel fee is 16k, the mess fee is around 17 k and the registration fee for the semester is around 6k. Basically on our campus, students whose parents' income, <1 lakh -100% tuition fee concession 1-5 lakh-66% tuition fee concession Shraman foundation is supporting our needy students economically to some extent. Apart from this there are other scholarships like ffe, samsung scholarship,etc..a few of them were specificalky for sc/st category.
Campus Life :
FLUXUS is the annual techno-cultural fest at our IIT. It is basically conducted in March. IIT INDORE's library has a vast collection of books, newspapers, and journals. We have to take a library membership card to take the book along with us for a few days. The library, classrooms, lecture hall, seminar hall complex, and auditorium are well-equipped and they look awesome. Classes will be held in lecture hall complexes. Exams, seminars, and webinars will be held in the seminar hall complex and big events takes place in our Nalanda Auditorium. Our college gives scope for taking part in extracurricular activities and sports. There is a huge sports complex, volleyball and football courts on our campus. There are lots of cultural clubs for promoting extracurricular activities like dance, singing, etc,, and also activate students towards social activities through social welfare club(Avana), EBSB club, etc.
Admission :
The process for getting into IIT will be through JEE ADVANCED exam. First of all, you have to clear JEE MAIN with a decent percentile. Based on the percentile that you have obtained in JEE MAIN, it is decided whether you are qualified for writing JEE ADVANCED or not. This cutoff varies based on your category. Then if you are eligible for giving JEE ADVANCED, you can attempt it and then, the category-wise cut-off is given. If you satisfy the criterion and cut-off, you will be allowed to take part in JOSSA COUNSELLING ROUNDS. There will be 2 mock rounds before the actual ones to give us an idea of the entire counseling process. In the mock rounds, we will be allocated a college and a branch within it, which is the appropriate one on basis of your rank and category. If you are not fine with your allocated college, you can make changes in the order of priority that is appropriate to your rank.
