Remarks :
I finalized IIT Indore when I started preparing for my GATE exam. The infrastructure and the academics are well known here. The application fee is Rs. 800 for the M.Tech course. GATE/ CSIR JRF are required to apply for this course. Admissions will be finalized during the counselling session based on the GATE score and the interview of the student. Application submission was done online and I was admitted in the OBC category admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was a blend of practicals, assignments, projects, and examinations. Each month a seminar was organized led by industry experts telling us the latest news/techniques in the field. We were asked to stay updated about what is going on in the lectures since it would help a lot in the theory exams. The difficulty level of the exams was also high and depicted the level of an IIT.
Placement Experience :
Placements for the batch of M.Tech students have been great every year. 90% of the students were placed overall. The highest international CTC stood at Rs. 65 LPA and the highest domestic CTC was Rs. 47 LPA. Some of the top recruiters who participated in the placement drive were Amazon, CISCO, Accenture, FIITJEE, RazorPay, Master Card, Nagarro, Deloitte, Infosys, Reliance Jio.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Rs. 1.05 lakhs is the entire fee for the course. Financial assistance is provided to the students who want to fund their education themselves or who belong to a weak financial background but are excellent in their studies. MCM scholarship, DAAD scholarship, Commonwealth scholarship, NHFDC scholarship are the ones provided by the institute. Scholarships can also be availed from the central / state government.
Campus Life :
An IIT student's life is always hectic. Day in the college would start from attending lectures, completing assignments and generally would end in the library studying. Cultural events and technical fiesta were much awaited by the students. The infrastructure of the campus is also ok. Sometimes, we used to spend our evenings playing sports, sitting in the gardens in nice weather and listening to music.
