Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as I was interested medical stream also this one can treat patients without medicine and surgery, so no side effects. Although the teaching faculty is not that much it is best from clinical aspects. The more Ilyou sees patients the more you learn. Faculty is MPT and Ph.D. holders in various fields. There is a semester system and it's not so tough to pass exams if you study well. The duration of the course is 4.5 years i.e. 4 years of study and 6 months of internship.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is within the institute for 6 months during which you are posted in different wards. Stipend is 500rs per month but it should be increased. 960 hrs of internship needs to be completed. The internship is full of learning and fun.

Fees and Financial Aid :

During admission, fees are approx 3000 After that approx to 500rs per sem Also, a stipend of 500rs is given per month. The fees are not much but accommodation is. Books will also cost. Also, the examination fees are taken every semester i.e. 500rs

Campus Life :

Annual fest Zenith in dec. Rest small functions are also there almost every month. Almost all books and journals related to medicine are available in the library. Lectures theaters are there in various departments where classes are conducted. The sports complex is there for people who love sports you can play what you want. Sports events are also conducted. SAPT is an association made for physiotherapy students. It is a nationwide association that deals with all the pros and cons of the students.

Admission :

There was an entrance exam, I applied for it and I got 95.785 percentile. There were many other paramedical courses as well but I left my seat in the first two counseling because I didn't get a physiotherapy seat. The cut-off was 94 percentile but still. But when I got the seat in 3rd counseling I was so happy. You need 12th in medical with a good percentage. Application form available at pgimer.edu.in site. Forms will be released soon by end of April or in May. Fees are 1000-1500 depending upon the category. Seats are categorized in different categories gen, sc, st, obc, and physically handicapped.

Placement Experience:

Placement is a big scam in medical field . After 7th sem you are eligible for placement. They only provide 1 or 2 placement opportunity till now and the placement package is 2,40,000 per year not more than that . If we spend 3,60,000 for full course are we fool . Any one choose these such universities for more package not for their fame and name . But at last very few courses are there where students get good packages. There are 2 companies came for placement 1. Clear dekho 2. Lenskart Only 3 students are interested for the job and others are still struggling out of 40 students . After getting degree i will do masters so that i can come in teaching line and earn more and more .

Placement Experience:

students can capply on their final years for the placements. The campus placement is itself too good. Different big medical comapnies and hospitals such as apollo, and other use to select numerous students for placement. the highest package ever made is 1700000( seventeen lakhs rupess). almost 90% students get placement from our department. my plan is to get a good placement in a highly ranked hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason to choose this course is that eye is a god gifted thing and the person who are not able to see it makes me emotional that this world is so beautiful and everybody has the right to see the same . When i was small , i was suffer from hypermyopia so all thr local doctors refused to treat my eyes and my family came to pgi for my treatment and hence i feel that this course should be opted and i opted thus course for which i came for my treatment. I feel so happy that i am studying here . Thus course is so beneficial for the upcoming generation as we all have certain types of problem regarding eyes and it us almost common in this era that everyone is myopic or hypermyopic so i feel that through this course i should know about what us happening in this modern era. This is total 4 year course that is three years for study and 1 year for internship. It provides ys how to deal with patients and it includes 6 semestersun total for 3 years .
