The management of the college is helpful . The college is a blend of a bit boring college life and a great life ahead after one passes out . The students passed out from this college would surely excel in life at some point or the other .
Entrance Preview :
This college was available only to those students who passed UPSEE exam with a rank under 2000 till the year 2016 . Now , since the institute is a university, the admissions are through the JEE mains score .Any score above 180 would surely get you through. The reason for opting this college is evident from the fact that it is the one of the best technological institute in the state
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses offered are B tech in Computer Science Electrical engineering Mechanical engineering Electronics engineering Information Technology Civil engineering Chemical engineering Paint Technology Plastic Technology Oil Technology Leather Technology Biochemical Engineering Food Technology The college is reputed for Mechanical engineering and Chemical engineering. Paint Technology branch offeres sure shot placement as it's offered by very few institutes all over India. The curriculum followed is more or less the same followed in other prestigious institutes in accordance with the GATE syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
The college helps in providing internships but it is mainly restricted to the chemical engineering stream . It would surely help you to get in touch with the companies but mostly you're on your own of you're not a chemical engineering student . Also , three academically best students from Plastic Technology are sent to Singapore surely on Internship. The stipend may vary from zero to about 40000 INR . The handsome stipend are provided by companies like Exxon Mobil.
Placement Experience :
The placement are pretty good in branches like computer science , mechanical engineering and various branches of Chemical Technology. The placement in computer science can be as high as 1500000 lpa . The minimum package is usually 5.5 lpa. The main recruits are Yatra , Maruti , TVS , Exxon Mobil, TVS , Reliance , Adani Group etc. Various marketing company also visit and recruit students in large numbers .
College Events :
There are two main fests The Cultural fest - Odyssey The technical fest - Zest Earlier separate fests were organised for separate branches but in 2016 the fests were combined and were given a name Zest. The participation in the fest is mild but provides enough opportunities for the students of the college to enjoy and participate . The events are various with a cultural night and a celebrity night . The duration of both fests is 3 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees has drastically increased this year of the BTech curriculum . The fees earlier was about 60000 INR but now it's increased to 980000 INR per year . The hostel fees is 10000 INR and the hostel fees is somewhere around 28000 INR . Looking at the figures , one can see that the above fees is quite feasible and worth for an institution of this stature. Also , the students can get scholarship after filling the form . The scholarship amount is around 65000 INR per year
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship is offered by the UP Govt to the students whose parental income is less than 2 lpa. The scholarship amount was 65000 INR . But this may increase this year due to the increment in the fees.
Campus Life :
The campus life I'd say is not abuzz with activities but the students do take parts in music societies and games like football, badminton and cricket. The communities of quiz and debates are the most active in the college. The gender ratio is around 1 girl on every 3 boys. In branches like mechanical and civil it may go down to 1 girl on every 10 boys . The labs are outdated and need renovation. But labs are frequently organised during the curriculum
Hostel Facilities :
The college has 10 hostels . Four hostels accommodate girls and 6 hostels are for boys. The college has two campuses - an East campus which has 4 girls hostel , academic section and departments and 2 boys hostel . The west Campus , which is 4 kms apart comprises of faculty quarters , sports grounds and 4 boys hostel. The hostels are a bit old and need some basic repairs. The facilities like badminton courts , volley ball courts are present in all of the hostels . The hostels accommodate around 200 students . The number can go down in girls college. The mess of each hostel is separate and the quality of good is okay . Not to good , neither too bad . Also the students are given the authority to finalize the menu of the mess
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni base for particular branches like chemical engineering , computer science and mechanical engineering are quite strong with alumnis in various fields including both private and Govt sectors. If you're in touch with the alumnis then you'd surely get the benefit during placement.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure is chilled out . The semester exams are conducted in December and May. The exams are spanned over a months period . The theory exams are conducted before followed by the practical exams. The institute being autonomous , the copies are checked here in the college itself and shown to the students for some ambiguity .
Admission :
After the results,the documents were verified and we were allowed to fill our choices . After the allotment of the college with the particular stream we were supposed to lock our choices and confirm our seat . Options like Float were also available to students who were interested in later rounds of counselling. After seat confirmation , we were directed to the college website wherein all the details were mentioned . The documents were verified and the students were registered after being told about the admission procedure.
Faculty :
The teachers are highly qualified and take sheer interest in teaching and imparting knowledge to the students. Apart from these , several other teachers popularly known as The Guest faculty are also teaching in various courses . The core subject on the other hand are usually taken up by the HODs and senior Professors
