Remarks

Techno Main Salt Lake takes admission on the basis of ranks in WBJEE exams which are going to be held on 30 Apr 2023. Anyone appearing for 12th or droppers is eligible for this exam. The difficulty is somewhat less than JEE Mains. Just practice WBJEE PYQ and u are good to go to secure a seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum follows MAKAUT. The faculty ratio is 15:1 which is good compared to many colleges in India. The faculty teaching method is quite good as they are Ph.D. holders from the best universities in India such as Jadavpur University, and Calcutta University. There are 4 internal exams that take place in a span of 6 months and if u are a bit serious u are good to go and excel in every college exam.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is somewhat an individual ability to crack on the basis of skills. However, our college provides internships from reputed companies like Accenture, and Amazon. If u have skills u can find better opportunities in remote jobs.

Placement Experience

The placement is good. If u are CSE/IT guy and u are into coding u can easily grab 15 lpa+. However the average placement of our college is 7-7.5lpa and the highest off-campus is 46lpa offered by CRED and on campus, its 36lpa offered by Amazon. Every year 95%-97% of students from CSE/IT get placed with a handsome package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee structure for Btech 4-year program is close to 5 lakhs which is again less as compared to many colleges. U can easily scholarship if u are from west Bengal as there are many Government schemes. For people outside West Bengal u can avail of low interset loans as colleges under WBJEE are Naac accredited.

Campus Life

A lot of departmental fests and a big annual fest are held which is organized in the month of May. Many superstars came to perform like we witnessed Rahul Dua and Vipul Goyal in our college fest EDGE 2022 and Milind Gaba in our cultural fest ANKURAN 2022. There are many social and cultural clubs that organize contests throughout the year to excel any individual in the field of interest.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

From fifth semester you are eligible for the intership . And from seventh semester you are eligible for the placement. NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
