Course Curriculum Overview

The IT industry is somewhat peoples are crazy about and due to this, a big boom is going to happen in the IT industry. To cope with the need for modernizing world I choose this course. My course is B.Tech in IT. Faculty Student ratio is an average which is 1:20. The faculty teaching here have a lot of experience in teaching and most of them are Ph.D. from Jadavpur University and many more reputed universities in India. Exams are held about every 40 days which is a CA of 25 marks. A total 4 such exam happens in 6 months for internal evaluation and they are not so tough to crack

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

If you are into tech then opportunities are there to get an internship and get paid. Many companies came up with 40-50k to hire some interns from the college. If you are into coding then you easily grab one of those exciting stipends.

Placement Experience

Many big tech companies visit our college and pay a handsome salary to students. The average package of a CS/IT is 7 lakhs as many students crack companies with a salary of 12-18 lakhs which increases the overall average salary of the college. Every year approx. 95% of students get placed in the tech domain.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are like 490000 for a full B. Tech course which increases which taken in 8 semesters. If you are from Bengal you can get a scholarship easily from the government. People outside Bengal can also take loans at less interest as the college is NAAC accredited.

Campus Life

The annual fest of our college is EDGE and it organizes in a humongous way. Many artists came in like last year we experienced great comedy from Rahul Dua and Vipul Goyal. Many cultural and coding clubs are there in college helping us to excel in every field.

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
