Nice infrastructure but only for studies and not anything else

Remarks :

Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 (or equivalent) and minimum 60% marks required in mathematics in 10+2(or equivalent) Application forms and other details regarding that can be found easily on the official website of DSEU (dseu.ac.in). Although the admission was done, the process was still a bit scratchy and poor. Every day the website kept showing a new error and it would take a minimum of a day to fix that and every cutoff was delayed by at least a day. Although during all this, the admission staff kept communicating through notifications uploaded on the website and answering our queries via mail.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted for this course because it has both the traditional and modern taste of computer science. Its curriculum is designed as per the need of modern age requirements and industry needs. Also, the university supports entrepreneurship so everyone with an idea is celebrated and given the right path to move forward. Most of the faculty is qualified and they are ready to help us in need. Their teaching method revolves around the simplicity of the concepts and trying to make sure that everyone gets an opportunity to show what they've learnt. There are mid-semester and end-semester exams which are not that difficult to pass if you are consistent enough with your studies. Although there are tests and quizzes being held every now and then just to keep track of students' marks and where they're lagging.

Internships Opportunities :

Most of the students were offered roles like HR, backend developer, graphic design etc. during internships. TCS, WIPRO, MARUTI SUZUKI, SWIGGY, ZOMATO AND BAJAJ ALLIANZ were among the top companies to visit the campus last year.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for internships from the 5th semester onwards and for placements they have to wait till the last semester. Around 50+ companies visited the campus last year and more than 1600 offers were made. The highest package offered was around 8lpa. Almost 80-90% of students were placed on campus and the rest opted for MCA and other higher education degrees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for BCA is a little bit high for a middle-class family but there are certain financial aids and scholarships to ensure that everyone gets to study without much pressure. The scholarships available also include general/unreserved category students so that is also a relief for them. Internships are available for everyone from the 5th semester onwards and almost everyone gets an opportunity to do so.

Campus Life :

There aren't any annual fests and tech fests but there are activity days every 3-4 months during which various activities and a few sports are played. The library at DSEU isn't very big but it includes most of the books that a Student needs. Classrooms have been equipped with projectors and the facilities have been good in labs too. Since this is a relatively new University hence there isn't much space for extracurricular activities. There are a few clubs like quiz and debate club but that's it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because only to get a certificate and on another side, I opt for a professional course. The faculty is best and the crowd is also good. Most of our professionals are Ph.D. holders without good teaching skills and are always ready to help us. Exams were considered every six months means every semester, and the exam was not quite difficult anyone can easily crack it only by going through the points and by the notes that teach providers.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 4th semester the students start getting information about the companies visiting for placements and if they want to apply then they can apply. There are many companies like Airtel, Deloitte, Wipro, Vivo etc that visit the campus and 5-6 or more depending upon the vacancies in their companies they hire students with an average package of 5-6 lakhs per annum of highest 2 around 22 lakh per annum. Talking about my plan I am not sure but I might go for placements and see where I stand or else take a break of 1 year or so and build myself.

Admission:

We have to apply online simultaneously choosing the course and submitting fee. applications are available on the university website. BCA fee structure is semester-based that is we have to pay fees twice a year.

I found that if you are poor then this College is not for you because they don't listen. If you Late Submit Fees They Charge an extra amount. They don't want any excuses they say that time. They Charge Fine In Every Aspect. They do Fraud at the time of taking admission. I don't like my College and all my friends are also disappointed.

Remarks:

The management should also provide some out of the campus exposure to the students as they are not aware of what and how to do things before they graduate. Workshops, events and all other things can also be arranged outside college along with some companies so that students may get a chance to see how things are done before they enter the real world.
