Remarks :

First, we need to write KEAM based on the ranking CEE, Kerala allows us to be in the colleges of our preference. There are 3 allotments and 1 spot allotment. To get into LBS, one must have a minimum rank of 40000. There are reserved seats also and for that category, rank varies. There are management and NRIseats too in which the fees vary

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course AEI due to its uniqueness but now the course is terminated and had introduced another new one in the ECE department, ie Electronics and Computer Science. The average strength of each class in every department is 30 - 60 and has around50 staff in each department. The professors are highly qualified and give standard lectures; the rest depends on the students. The main exams follow 2 internal exams each semester.

Class Size : 38Course Fees : INR 35000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

JP Morgan, Target, and Tinkerhub offered internships; some work as interns with attractive stipends. There is a selection process for getting into the firm as an intern. They are more looking forward to Computer Science students for their knowledge of programming languages.

Placement Experience :

Our college has a beautiful placement record. Students are eligible from the 6th semester to appear for placement drives. More than 150 companies visit us every year including the big 4 companies, Jp morgan, TCS, Tata Elxsi, L and T, Nokia etc. More than 200 students are already placed in my batch which means 60 per cent of students are set and there are some more companies yet to come. After getting the degree I would like to serve for the company that chose me and after getting experience I would like to go abroad to do the masters

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the past year, it was For merit seats: 35000 per yr For management seats: 75000 per yr For NRI seats: 1Lakh per yr For reserved seats, it varies according to the fee waiver by Entrance Commission The government provides many scholarships and besides that, there are PTA scholarships too

Campus Life :

There are many celebrations during Xmas, Onam, and Diwali beside that we have an Intra college fest Yavanika, the intercollegiate cultural fest Yagna Dhruva( Queen of fests), intercollegiate technical fest Prayag, Explorica the fest by IEEE, Intra college sports fest Escapade, and many other events. There are many clubs including technical and non-technical Technical clubs: IEEE, IEDC Arts clubs: Chackrews( dance team), Dhwani( Music Club), Bhodhi( Quiz club) Social clubs: NSS, Insight, MAD

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
