Remarks

Admission is done on the basis of entrance exam results. JEE main and WBJEE exams are the exams that are considered for admission. Some reservations are also available for the west bengal domicile students. Cut off vary year to year.

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses are allotted to students on the basis on rankings of entrance exam. I got ECE branch based on my ranking. Teachers here highly experienced and helpful. They help in placements a lot. Also the teacher Student ratio is very good.

Internships Opportunities

Internship are also available in this college for good students. Many startups and some big companies also come here. Companies like microsoft and intel provide internship to few students. They also provide PPO to few.

Placement Experience

The placement of this college is quite decent. If you are a good student than a lot of opportunities will be available to you. Packages can go up to 30 lpa. On an average offers available are 5-6 lpa. Internship are also provided in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of this college is pretty much on the higher side. In my year of admission it was nearly 5 lakhs for 4 years which increases each year. Some financial assistance is also provided by the WB government and college for eligible students.

Campus Life

The campus of the college is not much large, but it is the case with most of the colleges in Kolkata. There are a lot of clubs in this college and many fests are celebrated during the entire year. Many sport tournament are also conducted throughout the year.

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

This college is west bengal no 2 private college according to NIRF data and also placement basis. And techno has better quality in education rather than other college. No i was not get rejected from other college beacuse i want this college.
