Rozvi college for BSC-IT and BSC-CS

Remarks :

Eligibility of the course was on the subject maths which should be above 60 and percentage which differs like for obc it was around 45-50 percent but as general it was minimum 65-70 percent that too in 3rd list (government lists) but if you want direct admission than percent should be at least 70-75 percent try your best to get into college through gov provided admission portal only. It has Muslim minority , it gets as low as 55 percent ...if you are applying after 2022 then maybe it has increased, because at my time it was covid and all so percentage has seen huge drop...

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because of the demand for IT sector in today's and future time, fewer girls more boys like we had 8 girls in a total of 70-80 students. Faculty is average, the library is great with everything needed for study is available apart from a library other labs (it, Cs) where in average size, if possy they should improve it, teachers are good but only a handful of teachers are good at teaching to others just come read and go (they all support if asked) there is this teacher named Pankaj Srivastava he was coolest. He can teach, he can dance probably most interesting character then some other teachers like Javed Pathan, etc who were good at teaching some others like Arif Patel who make sure you cry if attendance is not Good. Exams were pretty easy at time of covid as it was online but then online exams were quite difficult but teachers will give you question bank and that's everything for you in college you can pass your exam if you start studying 2-3 weeks prior.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship s there but it's all up to luck or if your scholar with a good percent in 12 it is very easy. Fees hike every year by 500rs also when you pay fees from Razorpay (an online platform used by colleges) you have to pay extra charges which are must no cash is taken, financial assistance is given if any teacher like department head supports you, and job on campus is also average not everyone gets it but you get great amt if experience. they will send links to internships courses and jobs.

Campus Life :

I was not very interested in clubs but there was this rizivi Marathon for cancer awareness, rizvi festival, etc the marathon has entry fees and was compulsory for all students even if you don't have the legs to run (funny but true) it was a very high-level program with many bouncers and guards and big political guests. Our classroom was with AC from 2nd-year ac works fine but that's it classroom is just like any other teachers uses mike, we have projectors in the room so we never used as most of the lec were in IT labs, library has like thousands of book probably one the biggest lib in colleges in Mumbai nit by space but by digital books that they provide, they have computers in the library too, you are allowed to use the phone for work only (very strict about mobile phones) in sports rizvi is one the best in mumbai we had more than 500 players in history who played for Ranji trophy, then Rohit sharma, ajankiya rane etc who palys for india international level though it's difficult for it section.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly, I never chose bsc as a earning source or for jobs. I'm very interested in learning biology, especially microbiology. Our professors gives us practical knowledge along with theory. Our botony teacher Mr. Kanade sir is very supportive in businesses related to botony. Such as spirulina cultivation. He showed us an interview of a 23 yr old man who is earning in lacs through spirulina cultivation.

For eligibility, you must have graduated in any field. The average package is 2lac. Most of the students apply for placement but the result is hardly about 5-10%. After my degree, I will pursue a postgraduate and then will apply for Ph.D.

Placement Experience:

After the 5th semester, all the students are eligible for the placement and Internships provided by the College. Various well known companies comes for the placement cell and picks the students who has not only scored well in his/her exams but also how much interactive they were during interview and how much basic and verious knowledges they have apart from there course. Highest package was 4-5 lakh per annum and average 2.5-3 lakh per annum. The selection of candidates in the placement cell are for all the various job profiles for ex. Software Engineer , ui/ux , Cyber security , web developer / designer and etc etc. In a batch of class around 60-70% students were placed in placement and Internships. I had planned to get the degree in cs and to learn ui ux design and to apply for the intership for 2-3 companies so after that I can apply for the big and famous companies like FAANG.

Remarks:

Overall, the college manages to imbibe work-level competitiveness among students. Due to the lack of support from the college in several aspects, as explained above, students are taught to be self-sufficient and not rely on the college for persistent help and guidance.
