- The campus is huge with all the facilities which one can wish for there are multiple washrooms and ample of space in classrooms with air conditioning thakur college has one of the biggest campus in whole of Mumbai and it has 2 auditorium, library,lab
- The college conducts multiple events on a monthly or yearly basis one such event is the taarangan conducted by the college which is a three day fest where all the students and teachers enjoy together with the last day being trishna
Dislikes
- The exams can be quite hectic as there is no gaps given between exams
- Fees can be quite expensive as they charge twice in a year for each semester
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well the information technology course by thakur college is quite strong and well established With all the things a it person will need in their future the course will teach you all The areas which can be improved is to add some new and more relevant subjects The exams can be quite easy to pass if you study well
Internships Opportunities :
After your 4th semester companies also come for giving intership with a stipend of around 5 to 15k based in your skills to begin with The roles offered are based on the course you are doing and the companies can also give you a permanent job if your performance is good
Placement Experience :
The placements in our college is quite great just a few days ago some of my batchmates got placement in a well established company The students become eligible from 5th semester as the companies start coming to the college for hiring There are several companies such as tcs Capgemini and several other famous companies which come every year for hiring The highest package was around 7 lakhs per annum with 3.5 lpa being the average package 50 to 70 percent of the students can get placement based on their skill and academic performance My plan is to pursue further education
Fees and Financial Aid :
The yearly fee structure of tcsc is around 60 thousand inr from first year to last year the fees structure is somewhat same The tution fees is around 20k for the last semester which i paid for and admission fees is around 2k with the rest being on other needs fees Well for the other category there can be a discount from 5 percent to 50 percent based in the criteria
Campus Life :
Taarangan is the festival which is quite famous in all mumbai colleges is conducted here with trishna being the annual day of our college the campus life is quite great as the people are approachable and are friendly there are many other events conducted on a frequent basis the college library is really big and has all the books from educational to novels everything is provided There are projector in almost every classroom to teach with good fast computer available in lab rooms Tcsc is great in conducting sports activities there is a gymkhana present in the college and the college promotes sports quite well There are many social groups in our college which do charity a blood donation drive also happens on a monthly basis
Admission :
Well i chose this college as it is quite good in its information technology department with good placements offered by them the teachers are really well experienced and they know quite well what they are teaching If i compare it to other colleges tcsc takes students performance very seriously and they try to make you better in your field in every possible way The admission process is quite simple with percentage criteria
Faculty :
Well in information technology department the students to faculty ratio is quite good and the faculty is approachable and helpful In it department there are many approachable teachers such as jyotsna Maam or mithilesh sir The faculty I didn't like was sagrika maan as sometimes she can be very strict There are two semesters exams in a year and 1 unit exam and 1 project based exam
Night Life :
The college nightlife is great and the surrounding place is quite good and safe for nightlife There are many cafe's around the college kfc McDonald's starbucks everything is present with cinema too The campus timing is around from 7 am to 1 pm based on your particular course
