GS MANDAL'S MARATHWADA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, REVIEW

Remarks :

The college offers 6 engineering courses. The minimum marks required is 45% in 12th standard with subjects like physics, chemistry, and maths. (40% if the student belongs to a backward caste) For diploma students, the minimum marks required are 45% (40% if the student belongs to a backward caste) The admission process is very simple though

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I did a diploma in computer engineering. I got admission in the direct second year through lateral entry in the respective subject. Their faculty members are good at numbers. All the teaching staff is well educated and has a past experience in their own field. The exams are conducted in semester way i.e there are 8 semesters respectively. Each year had 2 semesters with a duration of 6 months each

Internships Opportunities :

The companies which visited the campus were - Infosys, Mahinda, Tata, byjus, Twitter, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Red hat and many more the roles offered were as developers, managers etc. The minimum package was around 3 lakhs and the highest package was 23 lakhs offered by Twitter

Placement Experience :

The students of the 5th semester are eligible for the campus placements. There were more than 100 companies that visited the campus for the placement which were namely Mahinda, tata, Amazon, byjus, Twitter and many more. The total no students who got placed are 90 from the C.S branch. Where 120 students applied for the job. The highest package was around 23 lakhs and the average package was around 3 lakhs per annum

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees required for BTech in computer engineering are around 1,60,000 Rs per annum. There are many scholarships provided by the college for the backward caste or financially unstable students. There are some scholarships provided for the hostel students themselves. There are many companies that visits the college for the on-campus placement

Campus Life :

The annual fest is basically conducted every year the month of June - July. There are many cultural events and tech events which are organised by the college namely brain waves, hackathons and many more. They have more co-curricular activities like sports days, open mics nad and many more

Interview Experience :

There was no such group discussion interview or written test pattern for the admission process. The process for admission was easy as it was based on the merit system. It was based on the percentage you have in your exams like CET, JEE MAINS

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.

Till now no company has visited. 2 students are selected and that is with their own efforts. Not having any job referral because hardly few students are placed. In startup one group won the hackathon and I guess they are doing their startup thing
