The best investment I ever made

Remarks :

The eligibility for the course is very basic where you need to be a graduate with a minimum of 55% secured in your undergraduate. The application fee is INR 1000. The whole admission process was very simple. In fact, I can very well claim this to be the smoothest process I had ever experienced in any educational institution. Their counselors are very helpful and answer all your queries regarding the course and the process. The admission process is made up of 2 main parts the first step is the application test which is a very basic aptitude test followed by a personal interview round where you are asked basic questions about digital marketing and about your background.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I pursued the 11-month MBA level Post Graduation course from IIDE. It was worth every penny spent on the course. The learning is very practical oriented to give you an instance we get to learn and run live Facebook ads campaign worth INR 2000 for free. The trainers are all industry experts with a good experience in the industry. If you are studying Branding then an HUL brand manager comes and teaches you the subject that is how practical is the course. The teaching process is simple where you first learn the subject practically and later execute your learnings on live brand projects and get your work reviewed by industry experts and get feedback. The trainers are very helpful and they are more your friend than a teacher and help you not only with your assignments but also if you are stuck at your job or business.

Internships Opportunities :

Usually from around 4 months into the course, you start getting internship or freelancing opportunities. Initially, you are offered a stipend of around 10-15 thousand during your internship and you usually join the company as an intern.

Placement Experience :

The institute offers a 100% Guaranteed placement on successful completion of the course. They have all the top agencies and brands as their placement partners. Our batch got a 100% placement track record (For all those who opted for placements). In fact, 60% of our batch was placed at a mid and senior level of a company even before the completion of the course. The average package is 4.7 LPA. The placement team is very helpful and they guide you in the whole process and help you in tailoring your CV for each interview so as to maximize your chances to get placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The institute does offer a scholarship up to INR 80,000 but for that, you need to appear for a scholarship test. I think the course fee is a good investment as you learn the most in-demand skill in marketing in 11 months and I recovered the whole course fee within the first year upon the completion of my course. In fact, I got placed before completion of my course and started getting freelancing opportunities in the 5th month of the course.

Campus Life :

IIDE's culture is the best. IIDE is very different in terms of culture and events for students when compared to our traditional colleges. There is always something going on on campus and almost all the events are celebrated. They are world-class classrooms equipped with the latest technology. They are fully air-conditioned with separate desks for each student. The campus has a canteen, a great place to sit and work on assignments. It has a bookshelf from where you can enjoy the books you want. You have various events in this category like one of such event is 'Launchpad' where you can pitch your startup idea and the winner can earn a cash prize of INR 25,000. There are also some sports events like cricket tournaments and many more. Unlike the graduation days that we have in our traditional colleges, graduation day at IIDE is special and grand and one of the best ones I have ever been part of.

Interview Experience :

The process is divided into two parts: The initial application test. This is a basic aptitude test. The personal interview round. Here you are asked basic questions about marketing and your background is checked. The process is very smooth and their backend team is very cooperative during the whole process.

Placement Experience:

There is a dedicated placement cell that looks at the placements of MBA students. The final year students sit for placements. Until now the placements are not so good but it is improving at a steady rate. Companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Flipkart, Amazon, ICICI Bank and others come for placements. I don’t have a clear idea about the packages offered but it was around 7-8 LPA on an average.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are decent. The average package of the batch is around 8 lakhs, which is nice considering the pandemic. A lot of good companies visit the campus like Goldman Sachs, Ernst, and Young, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. So, if you perform well here then you can get a good placement from the campus.

College is a little fast paced. Each semester lasts only for 3 months where we have to study 8 subjects in addtion to assignment, presentation, class tests.Social life gets affected if you are a localite as you have to travel to powai which isn't well connected via metro and railways.

Entrance Preview:

I got admission on the bases of my undergraduate scores which was very good. Admission process of this college was good and very simple.

Placement Experience:

Companies like JP Morgan, KPMG, PWC, E&Y have come to the campus and offered 10000/- to 20000/- monthly stipend. I have attended roughly one of those. Regretfully, I cannot provide you with the details of the number of students placed and the exact amount offered because I was not a member of the placement cell. But the college had a placement cell which conducted weekly meetings and trained the students for interviews.
