Remarks :
I have done b.tech agricultural engineering and was keen to gain insight of management in my field that's why I choose this course. Because it will enhance my knowledge in agriculture and give me a degree of MBA.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have done a b.tech in agricultural engineering and wanted to go for MBA in my field only. Doing PGDM ABM will provide me the opportunity to explore the management field of my domain as well as it will always be an advantage for me to pursue a master's in my age field. Faculty: student ratio is 1:60. All the professors are principal scientists of ICAR with a strong command over their subjects and at least 15+ years of experience. Teaching methods are quite similar to any B-school.NAARM conducts monthly and ends semester exams which I think is doable for an average student also.
Internships Opportunities :
More than 100 companies visit our campus for summer internships. The list includes Adama, Dehart, Byer crops, Corteva Agri science, etc. They shortlist students based on academic scores or some aptitude test and then take their interview. Generally they their candidates for research work or sells. The average stipend offer is 8000 per month. After 2 months of internship in the company, students return their college and submit their closer report.
Placement Experience :
In the 3rd semester companies started to visit the campus for final placements. they shortlist candidates based on their performance in MBA as well as in their summer internships. More than 70 companies visited the last year on campus such as Dehart, ninja cart, Big basket, ICICI bank, etc. with an average package of7.5-9 lakhs. The highest package is 17 lakhs. They generally offer a good position in the company. placement is 100% since last many years. Naam has a strong alumni base throughout the world as one international placement was also offered to one of the students. I have planned to go for my startup after completing the degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is around 7.5 lakhs for the 2 years which includes hostels and mess also. Mess foods are usual in taste and they provide tea in the evening and morning. There is no scholarship given to students and you will only get a stipend in your summer internships.
Campus Life :
The campus is lush green with lily flowers and grasses. You can take walk after the hectic schedule of college. They also conduct various types of events inside the campus and celebrate every festival in ethenic styles so we are ready to were ethnics specifically to girls. We are having a library with an ample number of books available to read. Classrooms are well maintained with a round table on which your name will be written. Smartboard is also there in every class. A lot of sports meets and various business events are being organized every year totally by the students. We have a media cell, cultural committee, photography cell, etc . driven by the students.
Interview Experience :
Yes, they take WAT which is a written ability test and personal interviews. In WAT you will be given current agri-related issues which are prevailing in India mostly and you will have to pen down your views on the topic described above in around 250 words. In PI, they mostly ask questions about basic statics, your graduation subjects, and training. They may ask hit-listed HR questions like why you want to join NAARM, where you see yourself after 5 years, etc. After that, if you get shortlisted then you have to deposit some fee and take admission. I had prepared for WAT and PI with my peers.
