Remarks :
I would highly recommend this college to all those looking out for a career in mechanical engineering because there is no such strictness on the attendance and thus you can enjoy life and study only when you feel like.
Entrance Preview :
You must score an average of 55% or above to grab a seat in Amity Kolkata, along with compulsory subjects that are physics, chemistry and biology or you can have mathematics if you don't go for biology. After applying you will be called for a round of interview and an English essay to test your writing ability.
Course Curriculum Overview :
B.tech(mechanical), which is a 4 year long program, deals with the study of various mechanical designs, mechanics of solid labs, fluid power system, metal cutting and tool design, machine drawing, computer aided drawing, elements of mechanical engineering and many more.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are an essential part of the curriculum for many courses, but not for a B.tech students, we have to do a projects in the final year where we have to get a industry exposure but that has to be done on our own, without any help from the university.
Placement Experience :

College Events :
Amity has the record of organizing such great events where we invite and get to meet famous personalities and bollywood actors. Not only at fests but also at other events like freshers, farewell we have a blast at amity. There are other events like sports where we compete with other top colleges also and beat them in the inter college competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I paid an annual fees of INR 1,82,103 for every year, which is a little high when we check it for other campuses and other universities. This is the non sponsored fees which does not include any amount of concession or scholarships.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Amity provides a great no. of scholarships but if only you scored so high would you have been studying at Amity. There is a criteria of getting 100% scholarship if you scored more than 90% in 10+2 or you can get 50% scholarship if you scored more than 85% and if you have any kind of sports achievements then you get get a 25% scholarship, also they provide scholarships to their ex students who enroll for further courses.
Campus Life :
Life at Amity is like you are being raised in a castle, if you have enough money to spare, you can enjoy all the things like on campus cafeteria, high technology labs, all kinds of sports facility so that you can be fit while eating all those yummy dishes. The campus is so beautiful with greenery everywhere, it is always clean and you just fall in love with the beauty of this place that sometimes you even forget you have a home.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel at Amity is the ultimate life experience, if you are studying at Amity and not staying in a hostel then you are doing a big mistake, even after being situated in Kolkata you will get all types of cuisines at the mess. You get all you need in the campus only like ATM facility, stationery shops and there are big brands food chains like Dominos and they have a salon inside the campus for you too. What else you need?

We have an alumni portal here at Amity where we get to interact with the alumni. Here the team behind the portal keeps us updated about the happenings in corporate and industries which helps us to get a gist of what we have to do further.
Exam Structure :
Exams are quite easy but there are other evaluations like tests, quizzes, Viva where they take out all of your knowledge and test you based on you ability to apply those concepts.
Faculty :
The faculty members are very helpful for any type of query. All of them are qualified and highly knowledgeable. The students are very free to ask any type of questions. Some faculty members completed their M. Tech from well-known colleges like NIRMA, IIT Bombay, BITS Pilani etc
