Remarks

You have to appear for CET(Common Entrance Test) exam for taking admission in any course. There are four phases of CET. You just need to appear in one of them. Nothing to worry about for the exam very basic and general questions are there.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Currently, I am doing my MSc in Biotechnology. Previously I was a student of Biotechnology in an undergraduate program. So I chose this background for my post-graduation. This is a very advance and interesting subject and has many scopes in the future. The faculty members are very supportive and also help with various competitive exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

In the last semester of our course, we have to complete a project work regarding a specific topic. You can apply for the project work wherever you want under the mentorship of a teacher. This project plays a vital role in the future.

Placement Experience

5

I am not so much aware of the placement because I just took admission a few months ago. But I came to know that this university also provides a placement cell which offers a job in various fields(if you are eligible).

Fees and Financial Aid

Here, the total course costs around 95,000 rupees. The course is divided into four semesters. You need to pay 20,000 per semester and at the time of admission, you need to pay 34,700 after successfully completing the course you will get Rs. 8,000 back under terms and conditions. If you have more than 70% marks at the Graduation level you can apply for scholarships at SVMCM and others.

Campus Life

5

The university provides a Library building which has 5 floors and so many books. You can take the book from there (if you are a registered student) and also can sit and read there and there is also a digital library where you can download a soft copy of a book.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.
