Remarks :
The admission process was really easy, the application forms, fees can be easily found on the official website of the college. One thing to note is that for us that is the 2020 batch, the management of the college was not as expected of such a renowned University.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose English Hons as I really liked English as a subject during the time I was in school, and compared to other subjects I would regularly score higher marks in English. The faculty of the English dept is excellent. Most of them have a doctorate in specific subjects that re related to the syllabus of the course. The term exams were conducted on time, and as for the difficulty it all depends on how much one has prepared for the exams. Rote learning is good, but it is not advisable to write what you have memorised, because each of the proffesors that comprise the faculty want different answers, i.e some want lenghty answers, others want short and simple and still others want you to be creative with your answers.
Internships Opportunities :
Ah internship, hmm I will be pursuing an internship in the summer vacations, with a company called Teachnook who in collaboration with IIT BBSR is offering various courses to learn and experience. I think that the registration process has ended, but if you go to their site you can register for a course with them.
Placement Experience :
Ugh, I don't really know all that much about placements from my dept as it is rare for someone to get a placement from this dept. Branches related to Science, Architecture and Agriculture get placements mostly and the percentage of getting placements is over 80%
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is really good for this kind of course. Of course Kiit also has a similar kind of fee structure but it is harder to get into, as compared to SSU.The Cost of studying is affordable.
Campus Life :
Umm, Campus life, to be honest I really haven't been to the campus for 2 years, firstly because of the poor coordination between different departments and the management and secondly beacuse of being far away from the University. The annual fest which is called Orion seems really fun, and is conducted in the month of January. There are a variety of clubs in the university
Hostel Facilities :
As I mentioned earlier, I haven't been to the campus so idk about the hostels and all, but as far as I have heard from other batchmates of other branches the hostels are quite spacious and nice. Ah, seems I get to live only for a year at the hostel, if the university doesn't close again in lieu of Covid returns. I hope it doesn't.
