Remarks
Like any other medical degree for BHMS also you have to crack NEET UG exam with a good enough all india rank to get admission in a govt homoeopathic medical College. After securing a decent rank in NEET UG exam candidates have to participate in counseling either all india ayush counseling conducted on aaccc.ac.in or your state ayush counseling if your state have decent homoeopathy collleges. Talking about my college that is Dr. B.R SUR homeopathic medical College, at the time I am writing this review the safe score for getting this govt homoeopathic medical College is somewhere aruou 500 from all india counseling for general category and if you have delhi state quota then you are eligible for state counseling via IPU's official website and ther the cut off goes quite lower around 450 marks is safe score to get this college in the 1st round of counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
See frankly speaking it was never like I wanted to study homoeopathy only and it was my dream to pursue BHMS but when you qualify an all india level competitive exam like NEET and then you get a govt medical College then it's a pride in itself and feels good, definitely BHMS is not as good as MBBS if we talk about career aspedcts but if we talk about homoeopathy itself without comparing it with MBBS then it has huge csope for you as you become a licensed medical practitioner after completing this course and you can go for Post graduation or even UPSC CMS exam to become an medical officer so all in all if you want to pursue homoeopathy then go for it don't hesitate it's a very good course to pursue. Talking about facult of my college, here we have a set of one of the best faculties of homoeopathy of the country, many of our professors have thereselves qualified UPSC CMS exams and are appointed as medical officers so facultywise we are very privileged in this college.
Internships Opportunities
It's not like pursuing b.tech where you have to apply for internship and then go find a job or the collge provied campus placements, here in BHMS like other medical degrees you have to complete an internship of 6 months to 1 year depending on your college and in government colleges the internship in paid and if we talk about our college then here at now inters are paid around 22k mothly during internship. In internship you are posted rotatingly in various departments like gynoecology, opthalmology, surgey, obstractics etc . After completing the degree boom !! You are a general homoeopathic physician and are licensed to set up a clinic and start your private practice or you can appear in AIAPGT exam to get admission in post graduation for your further studies and for instance at now if you get admitted in a govt homoeopathic medical College for you MD in homoeopathy then you get a monthly stipend of around 55k for the 3 years of your post graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it is a government college and comes under Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University so fee structure of our college is very pocket freindly , Her we have to pay an amlunt of 18000 as annual fee of which 16000 is the university fee and the 2000 is your annual college fee so you will complete your whole course of 5 years in around 70000 only . But yes our college does not have a huge campus and glorious campus facilities even we don't have hostel facility here but as it is situated in the south campus zone so you will not feel as if you are bound in a bulding just to study study and study and the locality is very prime and you will have everything you you want available here, you just name it and you get it. Our college is situated very close to AIIMS delhi and VMMC delhi so now you can understand how the locality is !! Our college provides scholarship opportunities but i don't knowuch about that because I have recently entered the college and will get to know more about it later.
Campus Life
See as I said earlier we don't have a huge campus but if you consider the huge park we have just by side of our college and the local cafes and shops and places to hang out, we have a nice college life here. Talking about infrastructure and labs we have all.the necessary labs and departments and even a decent library where you will find almost all the required books, we have OPD and IPD services with a decent patient count and clinical postings in Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital Delhi for further exposure.Every year student union elections are held with high energy and that's a quite exciting experience. Besides this we have many cultural activities and freshers and much more, so college life will not disappoint you, frankly speaking when I got this college i was like I won't go and will acncel my admission but when I went ther for reporting I felt that medical College aura and i was like it's okay I can do a lot being here and took the admission, & believe me I am not at all disappointed
