Remarks :

I took the JEE mains test because I wanted to go with my passion so I opted to go with the engineering. I picked this institution based on variables such as distance from home, college rating, desired branch, and hearsay from others. After taking all these I only had to submit the documents required such as previous school records and then I had give the interview where I had presented my resume.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Institution instructors here, like those at any other international college, are highly competent, with the majority holding PHDs and conducting research. However, when this comes to University, I was needed to make an effort to learn from them because many of us were interested in class and just learnt a lot of things there while studying about mechanical and mathmatics, computer programming etc.

Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I had applied for an internships as of yet, although numerous companies come to interview for internships. Few organisations include Microsoft, Wells Fargo, PWC, Tata Metals, etc were for internships also.

Placement Experience :

In college, there were plenty of chances for getting placement from the University. In the last semester every one was eligible for the placement , as employers begin to come to college for recruiting continue to visit throughout the year. Companies that come for recruiting include Microsoft, Adobe, Accenture, PWC, Tata Metals, Deloitte, and others. The biggest package given of 30 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

A ample of scholarships were there for us to assist the academics such as Student Full Freeship Scholarship, Student Half Freeship Scholarship, DASA Scholarship, Student Aid-Fund, Indian Oil Corporation Limited Scholarship, Jindal. In addition to this those who didn't get any scholarship they had to pay somewhere around a amount of 600000 for the fee in the total course

Campus Life :

I could participate in a variety of extracurricular activities and sports facilities at college. There were around 15 clubs at college, including SAE, MNTC, LC, Debsoc, Prakriti, CCA, and others. every club was free to participate for anyone so we had a lot to see and explore in the University. I also had formed a club by my own.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
