Remarks :

The current admission process is carried out through an offline process. This can be made simple by introducing the online admission process. This will be more useful to the ones located in distant places. More management seats can be made available at fewer fees, so that local students can have more opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Exams are conducted twice per semester. These marks are verified and then the student is given the opportunity to take the University exam. This exam is conducted once per semester. Exams have moderate difficulty. Anyone can get through this by studying for a week.

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 8000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Most of the internship opportunities have software engineer roles. Some of the banks also approach the college placement cell takes students to the banking sector. Only some of the internships have stipend offers. In some offers, the student needs to pay a definite amount to get through the process, which is not entertained by the PTIB cell. All students have to group together and prepare for the final year project, whose preparation has to be started from the 6th semester onwards. Some faculties mention mini-projects which has to do a particular semester. The final year project is considered the main one, which is evaluated by the project committee formed in the department itself.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 3rd year/ 5th semester. There are numerous companies visiting the campus. Some of them are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Alstom, E&Y, Infosys. The highest package made was 10LPA with the average salary package being around 4LPA. Almost 80-90% of students get placed in various companies. Some of them get an internship opportunities at first, then get job offers later on. Going to higher studies was my plan after getting the degree, so I didn't attend any placement fairs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

All scholarships, financial aids can be availed through the college office. The office staff will assist the students in getting through the process easily. Although it may take some time to avail of this, one who is eligible will definitely get the assistance. The fee structure is decent enough so that every student can pay without any due. The management fee is quite a bit high. These students may also get scholarships from veterans and many others. SC/ST and OBC students have special considerations.

Campus Life :

Numerous social groups, clubs are active throughout the college period. Anyone willing to join the clubs can get into it, participate in many events conducted by them, co-ordinate events or anything useful. Usually, there will be an annual tech test conducted by a special committee, named Shiksha. In addition to this Arts and sports events are conducted annually. Classroom amenities are low, which needs to be improved. The college has a fully functional main library working from 9 to 5 in the evening. The Department library also functions in addition to. this.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?.
