Remarks :

The college is good. Placement is fine. You have to study and don't depend too much on college for internship and job placement as it might dissappoint you at the end. But in the recent past it is seen that both have improved a lot with better numbers.

Entrance Preview :

CAT with 70%tile. And mat with 80%tile. The college is good with little better than average placement record in the past. The best courses to opt for are marketing and finance or human resource and marketing. They offer dual specialisation. And the above two are best choices to take. Placement is good not awesome enough. The interview process is easy. GD is not touch at all and PI is the easiest. If the cat mat scores are low or average and looking to-do MBA in Kolkata this is a good choice in MBA college for Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1St year is all common. And from second year onwards you choose the major and minor specialisation and your internship is started with your third semester curriculum.

Internships Opportunities :

I got an internship with PepsiCo India holdings Kolkata chapter. No stipend with them. The certificate they provide for internship has weightage in the job market.

Placement Experience :

The placement is above average. Companies like ICICI securities, KPMG, colGATE, price Waterhouse coopers. Hdfc are regular employers. Offer is around 2-3 on an average.

College Events :

There are a number of events in the college. For MBA it is prarambh. And other management fests small and big. All round the year there will be engagements in various fests and occasions and celebrations. There are total of 10-12 fests held in college from different streams and departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible. And they have tie up with pnb bank for support and loan. The cost might be 5, 00, 000 to 7, 00, 000. Not sure about this year's fee structure. But will be provided loan assistance if required by the candidate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides scholarship from the main trustees to deserving candidates. Also there is study loan provided by pnb bank.

Campus Life :

The campus life is awesome. Labs, games room, everything had top class facilities included. Have computer labs, Games room, common room, auditorium etc. The grooming process have a different department all together and is emphasised upon with great importance.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels were rated 5 star by the occupants. I am a localite so didn't need to avail a room. But the facilities had five star attached to their names.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is developing, and fast connecting as the system have just been started by the college MBA in the past 2-3 years. They already have a Facebook page. Email network and database for the same. MBA dept is also developing a website or something to connect all. Present as well as ex students of the department.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure is on semester basis. 4 semesters. And the final certificate have weight distribution for all four semesters. It follows wbut exam and certification.

Faculty :

The faculty is quite good compared to other colleges in it's league. No issues with it. There are faculties from IIM, XLRI, SIMS, and OXFORD as well.

Placement Experience:

Students can avail the degree also if they are already in a job in blended mode. Internships are given to students once they complete their 2nd semester exams. Final placements can be given after the completion of 3rd semester. Lots of job opportunities are given to the students.

Placement Experience:

Typically, students become eligible for campus placements in the second year i.e. after completing the compulsory summer internship program. Companies visiting the campus can vary from year to year, but few to mention Big 4 companies visit every year, FMCG brands, startups, banks and NBFCs provide placements to students every year. Almost 100% of students get placed every year. As I am already placed in a Big4, I am planning to join that after getting my degree.

Placement Experience:

In their fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Among the well-known companies that were visited were Microsoft, Dabur, JP Morgan Chase & Company, Goldman Sachs, and DE Shaw. No, 200 offers were made. The largest package available is Rs. 80 lakhs, with the average package being Rs. 22 lakhs. Among the offered profiles are those in finance, sales, and marketing, consulting, international business, information technology, analytics, and trade. Every child was assigned a place. I wish to work for a reputable multinational business organization after I graduate.

Remarks:

The institute department of which I was a student is one of oldest Management Institute functional under an University in Eastern India. Very recently it has secured NAAC- A grade and has consistently scored good reviews in nirf ranking and have been featured as a best management institute in Eastern zone for 3 successive years by Business Review magazine.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at the institute is average in terms of the companies coming to the campus. The IT giants are frequent takers while large FMCG or other companies are not big takers. Students find their placements mainly through off campus via different referrals & placing resumes through channels. The placement department has been active and need more assistance in terms of getting good companies to come down to the campus. Alumni network helps through getting proper referrals whereas that also need to be more assisted to have a good rapprt being established and maintained in time to come. There is a Entrepreneurship Cell attached to the Engineering department. But not in Management Institute.

Entrance Preview:

I passed CAT exam for this curriculum. I got 40 percentiles. The course is all about finance and I wanted to specialize over it from the beginning, so I had to choice this course. In CU there was GD and personal interview had been held.I had to pass those two round before my admission in CU.

Placement Experience:

The placement and job opportunities are average. It is arranged by the placement committee and the placement officer himself. The officer discussed with the higher authority about the placement companies and according to that the brochure and the student details along with the invitation letters have been delivered to the respective companies local or head quarter address.
