Remarks :

Basic eligibility of this course is completion of higher secondary education and for government merrit seats students must qualify engineering entrance examination. Admission procedures are completely online nowadays. Students are admitted to government seats through allotments. The tuition fees of government merrit students especially sc/st students are paid by government itself.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mechanical engineering is a core branch in the engineering field this is one of my reason for selecting this course. Students' strength is average and the required number of faculties are there to guide students. All the faculties are BTech and MTech graduated ones. Term exams are conducted twice per semester.

Class Size : 22Course Fees : INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience :

Students got placement from the seventh semester onwards. Wipro, TCS, Infosys, kinfra, byjus are the reputed companies that provide placement for pass outing students. The highest salary package is 900000/per year and the average salary package is 5000/month.during every academic year 40? students got placed in various companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are very high for NRI students because they don't have any reservations or financial benefits. Fees of sc/st oec students are paid by the government. Management merrit students have fee amount less than the government merit. Management Merrit students got admission based on their 12th score.

Campus Life :

NSITE, aarav, bloom are the best events conducted in college during each academic year. Other than this sports day, arts day, department day, NSS and NCC programs, Onam, Christmas, are celebrated in a well-defined manner.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
