Remarks :

I gave MH-CET and got into Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology through CAP rounds. This college was allotted to me in the 3rd CAP round. The admission process was smooth. I got into the Instrumentation department. The cut-off was around 60 for my branch and can vary from year to year. The admission process was mostly the common procedure as I got in through MH-CET. The remaining part was in college and took about 2-3 days. All the forms and procedures in college are explained well during the time of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to be a part of an engineering team. Instrumentation is an exciting and rewarding field in the long run and hence I chose it for myself. The faculty is quite experienced in RAIT, most of them hold a P.H.D. There is enough faculty for all the course subjects. Every faculty cannot be perfect and hence there are always a few bad apples, but we have to take care of and handle situations maturely. The internal exams were quite easy and we are mostly provided with question banks to prepare from.

Placement Experience :

Companies start coming from the 7th semester onwards. Eligibility varies from company to company. However, most of the companies need a minimum of 60% in 12th and 60% and above in B.E. Companies like Dell, Lenovo, IBM, ITC, Indian Army, Worley, Johnson Controls, etc usually come in RAIT with regular packages. Students can take upto 2 offers. A normal offer and a dream offer. Normal offer are companies with package of 5LPA and below, and dream offers are companies with package 5LPA and above. Students can easily get placed if they try and prepare well for the interviews.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

RAIT charges about 1,20,000/- a year for any engineering course. However, there are quite some facilities that can be taken advantage of. They hold two yearly internship opportunities that are organized within and by the college. The campus placements are amazing. A whole lot of companies come in RAIT. Especially for the CS/IT stream. Most companies come for the software engineer role. However, there are opportunities for other streams as well.

Campus Life :

Fests like Horizon make RAIT worth mentioning the fests. They are held in April. It has an amazing vibe and quite a time to be in the college. People can participate in various activities and contribute to the making of fests. The library is huge and has computers to study. You can issue 4 books at a time. Classrooms have Air Conditions but are rarely used as there is sufficient ventilation. There are projectors and boards for the ease of teaching and understanding. Apart from the Academics, RAIT offers various committees from which you can choose and work as an extracurricular activity. From the social wing to the International Society of Automation team to the Student Union Council, whatever best suits your personality.

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
