Remarks :

Eligibility for this course is, you should have cut-off 140 or above and based on caste it differs. You should straightly approach college for the smooth application process Yeah, velammal has reservation benefits and the cut off may differ for every caste member. Especially for SC/St. The college should have mess facilities for all students, until now mess facility is provided only for hostel students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

From a farming family, I chose Mechanical engineering because I always loved large machinery or heavy load vehicles like paddy harvesters, JCGs, Tractors etc. I have grown with them and time goes on, After completing my higher secondary I just felt like choosing mechanical and I have gone for it. FACULTY STUDENT RATIO: For every department, there will be staff who are good enough for teaching without missing any lessons. 10 students: 1 teacher. QUALITY OF FACULTY: When it comes to mechanicals, there are many professors and assistant professors who are very talented and have good sound knowledge about the subjects. TERM EXAMS: Exams are conducted frequently on time with the scheduled timesheet.

Internships Opportunities :

IT COMPANIES: COGNIZANT - PROGRAMMER ANALYST TRAINEE(Intern) with a stipend of 12000. WIPRO - the Intern, provides internship without stipend. ZOHO - Zoho provides internships with a 15k stipend. MECHANICAL COMPANIES: Many companies from the design and manufacturing sector provide various internships and an average stipend of 10k during your final semester and the college provides OD.

Placement Experience :

The highest salary offered is 10LPA by Amazon and Byjus. And companies like COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, WIPRO, TCS etc hire a lot of students. And the average package for these on-campus companies are between 3.5 - 4.5 LPA and through the cognizant nurture program, you can get up to 6.75 LPA. If u have any plans regarding getting selected in the mechanical core company the salary is low and a number of companies visiting campus is very low.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fees structure is the same compared to other colleges near our campus, FEES STRUCTURE: Counseling students - Rs: 85000 per annum. Management students - Rs:120000 per annum. SCHOLARSHIP: If you meet the required cut off you can also join through MANAGEMENT MERIT SEAT. CAMPUS PLACEMENTS: When it comes to placements Velammal is good and it has a placement percentage of 90%.

Campus Life :

Tech fest will be conducted once or twice a year and other college students also get a chance to participate in it. But for the last three years due to COVID, these fests have never happened. The College library is quite decent it has books good enough to enrich students' knowledge. SPORTS: If are interested in sports or any other extracurricular activities don't expect anything from this college. CLUBS : No clubs are run by students.
