Remarks :

To secure admission at various National Law Universities in India, students need to appear for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-UG), post class 12th. Based on their ranks in the examination, the candidates are allotted the universities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

During the period of 5 years, students are taught various laws viz Civil laws, criminal laws, international law, corporate laws etc. Depending upon their interest and based upon their Internship experiences at various organisations, students can opt for careers in the Corporate sector, Judiciary, Litigation etc. At NLIU there are 2 sections of 60 students each, and students can approach teachers at their respective chambers after class hours to seek clarifications in case of doubts.

Internships Opportunities :

Students are offered internships through the Placement Coordination Committee in the following organisations SAM, CAM, L&L, Khaitan and Co, Trilegal, IndusLaw, Azb and Partners, Saraf and partners, JSA etc. The stipend policy depends on the firm to firm basis.

Placement Experience :

Placements can be secured in 3 ways 1. Pre placements offer (PPO): Based on the performance during the internship, students can get a call back internship or an interview call. PPOs are usually given in the penultimate year. 2. Day zero placements: This takes place at the end of the 4th year. Eligible Students can appear for the day zero placements. This usually spans for 3 days. 3. Rolling placements: In the 5th year, various law firms, PSUs and other organisations recruit students on a rolling basis. At NLIU the main recruiters are Khaitan and Co, Trilegal, Shardul Amar Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw, JSA, Lks, L and L , Azb and partners, ICICI Bank. Other organisations such as Vedanta, TRAI, Singh and Associates, Bharucha and Partners etc also recruit students. The placement at a tier 1 law firm ranges from 12- 16 LPA. Other law firms also offer decent remuneration. An average of (40-50 out of 120) students secure placement. Students also opt for alternate career options.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees at various National law Universities ranges from 2.3 lakh/ year to 2.8 Lakh/ year. However there are several scholarships based on both means as well as merit. Several College also offers scholarships to 1-3 students based on their yearly result. However, I believe that in order to make legal education more inclusive and accessible to all, there's still a wide scope for improvement.

Campus Life :

The campus is beautiful and lush green with all the amenities in terms of availability of books and journals in the library, sports facilities etc. There are various student run clubs that help in the holistic development of a student.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel and clean and spacious. 1st and 2nd years are provided rooms with double occupancy. From 3rd onwards students are provided single occupancy rooms. The food at the mess is quite decent and students can amend the menu with the consensus of student run mess committee.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no lapse of any kind in studies, a lot of attention is paid to studies here. The arrangement for the examination is also very good. The seating arrangement is also very good during the examination. The children are prepared for the examination in a very good manner here in the college itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is over all good and approved by Bar Council of India. Although it is not really helpful for people who want to pursue litigation as such, because it's mostly the theoretical knowledge and very less importance is given to practical aspects. But for judiciary aspirants it is really good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason I choose this course is the value of degree from this college. The goodwill of this College is great. The University delays the exam sometimes. Which needs to be improved. Yes it do provide real world applications by organising moot courts evey year. Good academics but lack of management can be said

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is totally dependent on law studies, I chose ba llb as a course cause I wanted to pursue advocacy as a career student ratio is good as many of the students don't get presented every day all faculties that teach you legally are well qualified, though exams were not certain you would expect it from the middle of the year aur about in an end and difficulty level would be rated moderate from my side.
