Entrance Preview :

College SOIL, Conduct there own examination and interviews. I was looking out to do 1 year MBA. The paper is not that difficult and easy to clear compare to CAT and other. after it there is interview and once you are thru you can opt for the streams. As I had 4.7 year of experience thus wanted to do general 1 year MBA and thus opted for this college. Also there was industry consortium available with this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is good and they conduct regular test. But there should be more emphasis on case studies rather than theory. Project related activities are also there were one can put what they have learnt. But there is need to modify the curriculum to cope up with the demand of changes.

Internships Opportunities :

During the time when I joined the college there was no internship. But recently I got to know that they have started the internship which is good. There is no stipend as such currently but you will get exposure to industry practices during this time.

Placement Experience :

There are many companies which visits the campus as the college has been part of the consortium of some good companies. The package which they offer will look good for 2 to 3 years experience person but not for 4 to 5 year experience. There placement cell is not up to the mark and there is immediate need to work upon it.

College Events :

College celebrate the ILC which is Inspired leadership conference and held every year for 2 days. They have theme on which the industry leaders comes and speak. Also there are some seminars happens where people from diverse background and share their personal and professional expierence.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, college does offer scholarship for the needy students. As currently it is not recognized by AICTE so getting loan from banks is little tedious job but with some recommendations student get the loan.

Campus Life :

Campus life was very good. I have enjoyed every bit of it. there are extracurricular activities where the complete college visits for almost 1 week to sidbari. they gender ratio is also well maintained and people come from various backgrounds and professional experience, for taking part in competition depends on individual and from college side one will get all the information.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, the seniors are helpful and if there are any openings in their respective organizations they post it in the group. Also there is alumni meet which goes on to keep the alumni updated.

Exam Structure :

The exams are conducted with multiple objective questions and also there are case studies. There are multiple tests which happens for the same subject. also there is cap-stone competition happened when I was there and it was really good. currently there is no surprise examination held.

Campus placements are good, they leave no company unturned to do the interviews. We usually get summer internship and before that there are lot of interviews going. In case of campus placements they are eligible only in the last semester

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are taken twice a semester for the betterment and improvement of students in final exams. I was told by the faculty that they try their best. To make it easy for students to understand. Which was really nice and more than expected.

Placement Experience:

You will get placement only after completing your course. There are several companies like Garda Chemicals, crystal crop protection, bayer, PI industries. They have placed average of 3-4 students. Highesht package was of one student about 8 lakh per annum in LDC company. Only 30%student got placed. You have to search at your own the companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's includes all the different type of courses in agriculture stream with different topics like agronomy , horticulture , soil science , plant pathology , computer science. Wide range of scope is there but teacher is not much knowledgeable they only copy from notes and then delivered lectures to the students. It's very poor for teacher

Remarks:

During the sixth trimester of the Programme, each participant is required to undertake a research project. the college emphasis on the trainning of the student on a practical ground too. A research problem of contemporary relevance (theoretical / action oriented) is identified by the participants in consultation with NIFM faculty and / or senior level officers of their respective Department / organization. However, the final decision on the project work is taken by NIFM. The timing and duration of the project work is 16 weeks as per the curriculum. NIFM faculty guides the participants in research, analysis, preparation and completion of the project. The participants are expected to remain in regular touch with their faculty guides for timely completion of the project work. The project work is required to be completed and submitted before completion of the programme.
