(PIET)- Review

Remarks :

The admission process is little tuff. First a fall I prepared for JEE and MHTCET then fill the cap round form. I have to verify all documents n then I got tfws admission to this college. I am pursuing BE in computer engineering. There are some categories like 50 % in plus 2. I belong to the general category so I have applied for tfws admission then I got it this seat. In tfws college give concessions so I didn't pay college fees but I have to pay other fees like exam fees and library, parking like annual fees they take from me.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There is 8 semester. My college is following RTM university guidelines so in the year I have to give 2 exams and there CAT(Class Assessment Test), sessional exam. Yes, we have to prepare for it all exams are important because they give internal marks from it. All faculties are highly educated like Ph.D., MTech some are teachers are author there book, awarded by different prizes. There are so many teachers for different subjects. We have to prepare for all unit tests, sessional seriously because all internal marks depend on all these exams so we have to prepare it. But due to corona, all exams are going on online.

Internships Opportunities :

College didn't provide any internship to students through college faculty there are not any internship opportunities are available. We have to prepare and find out internships by own, but teachers guide us about internship available in it companies we have to give resumes and do required formalities by own to take internship opportunities. I.e through college there are not any internship opportunities.

Placement Experience :

I am in 3rd year so I really don't know much about placements but my Teachers told us in the 7th semester we are eligible for placement so we have to prepare for it. There are so many companies visiting our college but all companies based on Information technology sector core companies are not visiting in our college, therefore except IT branches all core branches have to prepare for placement by themselves in off-campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is the different fees structure for different categories. I am general category so I didn't get any Scholarship but in admission time in the CAP round I ticked the option of TFWS which is for the general category in which we have to concession college fees but we have u pay yearly fees and library, parking fees which are around approximately 15000. We can get concessions according to categories. If u not Able to fill the fees they give the option for the loan so we can pay the fees in installments.

Campus Life :

Yes, there's so many club-like dances, singing, drawing, Rotract club, and NSS club. Every year they arrange Saptrang fest in which organize so skill full things. In our college, they organized workshops and guest lectures on a week or month basis. Every week they organized a workshop. In Library they have so many books and journals in the library we can go n issue with I'd card. All engineering books are so expensive so we can't buy all the books so we can borrow them from the library. We can take a book for 15 days after that will take 1rs per day late fees. In huge numbers, they are providing books for students. We can use computer labs and all labs, data for the study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
