SHUATS Reviews

Remarks :

SHUATS is India's oldest and the first Agriculture college of India. I opt for the MBA program because there are very few colleges that provide such courses and I am from a farmer family and our family also run a dairy business. So it was clear in my mind what course I have to go for. The admission is on the basis of a written entrance exam conducted by SHUATS and you should have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation from any recognized university followed by PI round.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of the college is good and according to the industrial norms. The curriculum is divided into 4 semesters and the difficulty level of the curriculum is medium. All the concepts are covered in the curriculum regarding the program and the faculties also make sure that all your concepts are cleared.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is not mandatory if you are not interested in an internship you can submit a written assignment according to your topic. I was able to get an internship at Nestle but did not receive a stipend. Companies like Nestle, VNR, Syngenta, UPL visit the campus during the internship program.

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college is okay. The placement committee of the college is supportive and hardworking and they will guide you throughout the placement. The college is able to achieve a 100% placement record. Companies like Nestle, UNR, UPL, Pepsico, visit the campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch was 7 LPA and the average package was 4 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The program fees are not too high but the fee is hiked every year. The college also provides scholarships for merit students. The scholarship program is also available for SC/ST/PD students.

Campus Life :

The campus life of the college is good. the cultural fest and the college also celebrate the festivals which is the main attraction point for students. Sports activities and competitions are also held in the college. Xpression is a 3-day cultural fest which is organized by the college. The library is full of books the only drawback of the books in the library is that most of the books in the library are outdated.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are good. There are AC and non-AC rooms also the rooms are available on sharing and as well as single occupancy based on the price. During my course of time (2017-2019) the price for non-AC rooms was around Rs 26000-35000 and AC rooms price was Rs. 75000/-. The food of the mess is good but the menu is limited to certain dishes in the beginning you like but after few days you will get bored from the food menu. The hostel is equipped with all the basic facilities for students and high-speed WiFi connectivity is also available.

Faculty :

The faculties are very qualified and are very supportive. The faculty motivates the students to take part in sports activities as they believe that the overall development of a student's brain is important. Most of the teachers have industrial exposure which is very beneficial for the students.

Placement Experience:

Placement is very impressive in ISAB. Since the establishment ISAB has successfully meeting the milestone of 100% placement. Which could sound fake but it's not. I've seen my seniors in alumni meet, all of them are working in corporate. My batch has recently placed 100% for summer internship and I'm sure our placements will also be having these results.

Placement Experience:

There are 100% placements given. The average CTC is from 6 to 7 lakhs PA. The highest package is Rs 15 lakhs per annum. Before placements commence, interactions happen with corporates through guest lectures, seminars, etc. Then through aptitude tests, GD's and PI's, students are shortlisted. Many companies come from various sectors like the Big 4. Panasonic, coca cola, Nestle, Vodafone, KPMG, Dabur, Infosys, CNBC, Accenture, are the major recruiters.

Placement Experience:

Maybe from 4th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. As I am a fresher so I don’t have more knowledge about that the highest package maybe 3-4 lakh. The percentage should be good. I am thinking to establish my own business. Being an entrepreneur and my plan B is getting a job in banks.

Admission:

The admission is based on the entrance examination which is conducted at the institute level. The college requires us to pass our bachelor?s degree with good marks in order to qualify the eligibility criteria.

Placement Experience:

The college claims to have a 100% placement record. It is true to some extent as most of us got placed in good companies. Some of them are satyam enterprises, infosys, IBM, EY etc. and they offer a good salary.

Admission:

I applied for the MBA Hospital Administration Regular course when I was appearing for the final semester examination of my Bsc Nursing Degree. The institute confirmed my admission only after the final results were declared and when I had submitted the proof of securing more than 55% marks (Which was the minimum eligibility criteria at my time). The college grants admission on the basis of results, experience in hospitals, the course pursued in the under-graduation, and many other comprehensive factors. Considering the good reputation this college enjoys, I did not have any second thoughts before applying here. The admission process is also very simple. By paying a nominal charge of INR 125, the candidates can get the application form from the college website itself.

Placement Experience:

Since it’s a hospital training and research institute, the placements are not available. Students usually join in different reputed hospitals by applying themselves only. But the college brings out the most confident interns.
