Remarks :
Foreign Exchange For One Semester Free Of Cost, It was merit based. Programs were available with two French B-schools. Documentation was handled by representatives from both Indian and French schools, Accomodation and paperwork were handled by the French schools and upon arrival we were provided with a survival kit and were set up with French bank accounts with the local bank branch. Also health insurance was inclusive.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course syllabus was up to date, Industrial exposure was excellent. Every week we had industry visits and on weekends we had interactive workshops with eminent industry professionals. Apart from this we used to host and participate in various business fests and represented our school in various industry exhibitions which helped a lot with networking.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, NPCIL, Nuclear Power Corporation Of India, Business Development Executive. It was nonpaid.
Placement Experience :
Placements to be honest were average. I won't say bad but it was just decent, probably we all feel this way because we had high expectations. Mostly local companies provided employment in the city. Alumni referral in my opinion wasn't up to the mark. Entrepreneur cell tried desperately but it couldn't meet up with the student's expectations. I could cite myself as a notable alumni, a juris doctorate in Business Law, I am currently teaching at National Law University as a guest professor. Also I'm employed at HLL, a miniratna group as a Regional manager in the NCR region. I have been cited in many national periodicals and international journals. Not to be immodest but yes I am one if the GEMS of ISBR that's the abbreviated version of International School Of Business And Research.
College Events :
Campus life couldn't have been better. From group studies to projects to preparation for annual management fests we all coordinated, formed a team, recognized the team's forte and delegated the activities accordingly. From Cultural activities to Fashion shows, from Business fests to Awareness shows, name it all and we achieved and created a niche for ourselves. We were covered by Local media and a lot of our students, including me received national accolades. We had Business magazine review and we held GD and suggestion sessions too. We had an active Case writing club, a CSR committee, A Marketing and Finance Club. We had a HR club too and that club was an extremely distinguished one under the tutelage of Prof. Preeja Sridhar, an excellent corporate coach.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Education Loans were available from all nationalised banks pretty easily. Scholarships were provided by Bangalore Education Trust for deserving students. The education loan interest rate was extremely exorbitant in my opinion. I would suggest that availing a scholarship would be the best option for MBA aspirants.
Campus Life :
Our B school had it's own open air amphitheater. Plus we had a large spacious auditorium on the 4th floor of the premise. We had a state of the artlibrary and an extremely helpful librarian who helped us with sourcing of various journals and periodicals. The entire premise had Wi-Fi connectivity. Apart from a recreation room and a large cafeteria, we also had two labs for practicals and we regularly participated in local business activities and helped with CSR activities within the community.
Hostel Facilities :
Our college had a hostel facility with both twin and triple sharing capacities. Hostel seats were ample though a few localites were day scholars. The deposit was 200000 per annum. Food wasn't inclusive. All the rooms had free housekeeping facilities, WiFi and power back up. Apart from that the hostel campus had a seperate gym, a game room, rehearsal rooms, swimming pool, microwave and laundry room. The hostel was located about 5 kms from the school premises and we were provided with free bus service to and from school to hostel. So basically we travelled free. There was an excellent dining hall which used to be functional 24/7 to satisfy curious minds and growing bodies. Food charges were normal.
