College fee is not very expensive.

Remarks :

Students who pass with minimum of 50% marks from any background like science, commerce, or arts can take admission in B.A English(H). Yes, students do need to qualify for IPU CET also. On basis of ranks and marks, students get admission. My 12th marks were not very good but I get good ranks in the common entrance test which helps to secure admission to this college. If admission process can be better if all colleges conduct. Counseling process at the same place.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I want to improve my English knowledge and make a career in English article writing. There are a total of 80 students in two batches and around 10 faculty members. The average ratio of faculty: student is 1:8. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. The teaching method is average because they mostly teach from textbooks only. Term exam is not very difficult to pass because there is always optional question to solve.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

This college has many other courses also and I find fees of my course was lowest. Total fees for my course were around 70000 rupees a year. College is nearby my home which helps in transportation and hostel costs which helps me to make the cost of study pocket-friendly.

Campus Life :

From the last two years, there is no annual fest because of Covid 19. The college has lots of social groups which is active all around the year. I was part of a dance social group, get a chance to have fun and learn lots of things. Clubs and websites are mostly run by students but its managed by colleges. The library has an excellent collection of books from different authors.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Students can avail themselves of the placement opportunities from the fifth semester. I have been selected as a content writer in the fifth semester. I was offered a 4.6 LPA in the esteemed company. More than 40 percent of students end up doing getting jobs. I have decided to earn some experience as a content writer and then apply for the MA journalism program.

Placement Experience:

For the courses like Architecture, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication, many big companies come for placements in Jamia. As my course is a Bachelors's subject under Arts, there aren't many placement opportunities. But I hope to pursue my Master in History after which I would try to get placed.

Placement Experience:

The placements for BA Program in particular are slightly lower as compared to other courses. Most students from the course opt for higher studies but the few who choose to sit for placements find it hard to land a job. Campus placements start in 5th semester and continue for the entire final year. A student is free to sit for as many companies as they like, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria like CGPA, course, etc. Most companies hire a maximum of 4 students owing to the small population of students at St. Stephen's. The highest package in 2021 was 18LPA and the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Around 70% of the students get good campus placements, especially in the private sector. The average package for the students is 6,000,00 per annum. The highest package offered to the student varies between 25 lakhs to 35 lakhs. My plans are different as I want to pursue my higher education.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good. It has tie ups with reputed news channels. But in our course, the college does not provide internships, students have do it themselves and they have to prepare their own youtube channel for work.

Remarks:

The management is an equally hardworking and efficient team like the faculties. They maintain a good relationship with the students as well as with the teachers and are approachable for both the parties. Their functioning has ensured that the college runs smoothly in terms of presenting itself to others.

The college timings and the unprofessional conduct of many teachers and the office staff has made college an exhausting experience. There are no proper channels for conveying our complaints and suggestions.
