Remarks :

1. This course requires a minimum of 60% in PCM in classes 10 and 12. 2. In English this course requires a minimum of 50%. 3. Your eyesight should be 6/6, and should be medically fit. 4. You will find the application form, application fees, and application dates on chitkara university official website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I preferred to choose this course because I love to travel a lot. And earning and travelling could be done only if you choose this career. Our faculty is well qualified and had been in a good position and have enough experience to share with us . They are well at teaching and solving our problems. End term exams are held every 6 months. If you revise the work our faculty gave us you could easily clear them.

Class Size : 31Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Our college offers internships in companies like fleet management Maersk and many more. But the main thing is the college is providing at least internship . The placement record is good enough to satisfy someone.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for campus placements in 6 semester 3rd year. Fleet management Maersk synergy and many more companies are visited. 100% of students are getting placed. After getting the degree if you are placed you will be onboard the ship or will be waiting to be placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our fee structure Semester fee: 175000 ( including stationery,hostel fee,mess fee,and,our uniform). Year fee: 350000. The yearly hostel fee is 114000. Mess fee 30000. We have a 3 years course total fee is 1050000.

Campus Life :

There are two libraries: one is the Central Library, and the other is the Marine library. In the classroom, we are provided with student wifi, ventilated classroom. We get plenty of time to play in the evening. We go running in the morning

Hostel Facilities :

We are provided with study table almirah balcony beds buckets bedsheets mattress Air conditioning Fans The quality of the meal is decent. The menu is changed every week timings are also decent. Affordability of hostel is reserved.

From the second semester the students opt for the placements. For this they have to pay extra sum beside the course fees. There visits a no. of companies and accordingly they conducts exam and later interviews.

Remarks:

Actually I didn't want to do drop after my class 12th like all students of my class were doing but my parents were suggesting me to take a drop and appear for the medical exam but I didn't want to be a doctor so as an alternative I look for a college and I found IISER Mohali best for that.

Placement Experience:

The only place where IISER Mohali is lagging behind is in terms of placement as IISER Mohali doesn't offer technical courses so direct placements to companies is not possible the only sector in companies where students can go for is Research and Development Department.

Remarks:

IISER Mohali gives you value of money. It's fees as compared to other colleges like engineering colleges is very low and almost every student also get scholarship from KVPY or through Inspire. Approximate tuition fees of year is about 70,000. The most important thing the future of students is safe here and due to all these I choose IISER Mohali.

Placement Experience:

Getting direct placements from a research institute is not an easy task and IISER Mohali administration also does not support it that's why after a lot of efforts from students community still there is no placement cell in the college.

Remarks:

IISER Mohali is one of the best research institute in India and also it is a national importance college. My main motto was to get admission in such a college where my future can be secure and IISER Mohali is best for future safe.

Placement Experience:

IISER MOHALI is a basic science research institute. It doesn't offer any technical courses so direct placements from campus are not there. Students after their 5 year degree do their PhD from some of the best universities across the world. There is no placement cell in the college.

Remarks:

My cousin is already studying in IISER Pune and my dream was also to get admission in IISER Pune but unfortunately IISER Pune was not offered to me and I get IISER Mohali in floating option. IISER Mohali was my 2nd preference after IISER Pune.

Placement Experience:

There is no such placement cell in the college. Students mainly go for pHd in some of the best universities across the world like MIT, Harvard, Yale, University of Cambridge, Max Planck etc _ Some students also go for industries job_

Remarks:

Overall the college is se like the other colleges of the town. The only thing which is different is that the college is 102 years old, nothing at all. If you have to just read books and get a degree easily without much effort then this college is the best place for you.
