  • The visiting faculty was most of the time not up to the mark as they only read from the presentation they made and the class was never interactive
  • Course was really basic the level could be increased a bit

Course Curriculum Overview :

From my personal experience I believe the course was really basic like not even the first step More complex apparel could have been taught How to identify the fabric should be taught one on one not via zoom meeting Professors prepareed ppts and in class only read that it was monotonous not even a word extra from pptthen they expect great results in are assignments

Internships Opportunities :

The intership provided were all in factory or merchandise not more than the stipend of 5000 and non were local all were in different parts of India As I wanted to work with designer they didn't provide and I had personally look for

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The per semester fees in chitkara University for fashion design course is 62000 . They took 72000 for first semester . there's no difference in fees for other category. There was no scholarship or financial aid or anything like that as we were the first batch for fashion design in chitkara University

Campus Life :

We fashion students didn't had any idea what's going outside our studio no clubs no festival no nothing In library books on fashion were very limited as we were the first batch There were 20 or so sewing machines and dressforms where each student could have one each Thereay students portal but I personally have no idea

Admission :

The colleges that I applied to were pearl academy, Lovely Professional University, and Chandigarh University as for I chose Chitkara was because it was close and as for the other why I didn't choose was pearl was too expensive for lpu every said it was not good and Chandigarh University, my dad wanted me to do bba but I was never interested and also chinkara accepted first so it was a win to win. For admission I just filled and online form of 11 pages. I don't know about eligibility as for my dad forced me change my course from fashion to bba as I already filled in the online form for fashion. so when I went there to change my course they told me there was an interview so I went in and the interviewer buttered me up to take fashion as the course so I called my dad and told him what the interviewer told, he accepted and after a few days paid the sem 1fee and after half month my college life started.

Faculty :

Faculty: student Ratio is 3:10 There are 2 professors(1 asnt, 1 main) and 1HOD and 1 Dean The assistant professor and hod were easy to approach but the other two were never. I never liked the other professor as he would always give me negative remarks even though I was never wrong, he would use my apparel as example to other students saying that this the way to do but would give me low grade The assistant prof was always approachable she was friendly and understanding even if students were rude to her For exams, we had 2 juries each semester one in mid and other at the end of the semester. The juror always came from outside For the difficulty level, I would personally day that as I was the roll number 1 I was always crushed they would always ask out of the box questions and pay attention to every minute detail but as the roll numbers go by there questions decrease they pay less attention

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our design school offers an excellent curriculum which covers all the modules even if they are slightly less important , they cover it all in our semester. The open jury system also helps us interact with jury members in our batchmates jury time .

Remarks:

The worst college ever found I will not recommend this college to anyone Worst faculties they do not have any knowledge about the course and curriculum is also not good. You will enjoy your college life but will suffer in academic departments.

Remarks:

Roaming around the campus is something everyone loves. The infrastructure is very well built and enormous. The campus expands to approx 600 acres, the largest single-campus private college. The landscaping is eye-catching and mesmerizing. LPU has provided the best platform to groom me academically as well as personally. It has helped me in gaining experience at both social and professional levels.

Entrance Preview:

I have given LPUNEST i.e. national entrance test for scholarships in lovely university. I have chosen this college because here the infrastructure and curriculum is very good . The fees is also very less as compare to other colleges . The environment helps a student to grow a lot.

Admission:

First of all you have to take admission test I.e. LPUNEST . After giving this test if you want to take admission then you can go to your near by admission center of LPU and then they will guide you through the admission procedure regarding your course. It is better to take admission early as this will be very helpful in financial way.
